John McCain Debate

With John MCain trailing in the polls and with less than a month until the Presidential election,  the GOP candidate is promising a more aggressive approach against Barack Obama.    Do you think we will hear anything about Katrina or Rita from either candidate?  Yea, right!

Deaf School

State Superintendent of Education Paul Pastorek will hold a press briefing today, Oct. 7, to updated information about an incident involving two students from the Louisiana School for the Deaf and an internal investigation initiated as a result of the incident.

Citizens Insurance

As if we needed even more price increases.  According to news reports, the governing board of Louisiana Citizens Property Insurance Corporation, on Oct. 6 approved a 14 percent statewide average rate hike.

Hike, yikes. Premiums are expected to rise approximately sixteen dollars per year and not everyone would receive an increase.

Cheney

VP Dick Cheney made a pitstop fundraiser of Steve Scalise.   Do you think Cheney would be welcome in many districts in America or only in Louisiana?  The 1at Congressional District is a Republican bastion.
