MTV's The Hills "reality series" has reached their season finale with Lauren Conrad jetting off to Paris minus her new flame, Brody Jenner, and Heidi packing it up and moving out on her fiance, Spencer. However, the twosome aren't over, just taking a break from the bickering over wedding plans. Will they remain together? Who knows. Who really cares. According to Conrad, The Hills will continue with footage of her trip to Paris. Good times.
Next up, Charlize Theron's L.A. home was burglarized between Thursday and Saturday and police are investigating the incident. No word on what was taken and so far, there are no suspects. Stay tuned...
With the Writers Guild of America strike running much longer than hoped, the Television Critics Association winter press tour, which was supposed to take place next month in UniversalCity, has been canceled.
"We just ran out of time," TCA board exec Dave Walker told Daily Variety. "Even if there were a stunning surprise settlement, the networks have said it would be difficult" to put the event together.
Out of time without any more chances was lead singer for Quiet Riot, Kevin DuBrow, who unfortunately passed away at the age of 52 due to an accidental cocaine overdose.
Finally, on the flip side of tragedy, dog-murderer Michael Vick has been sentenced to 23 months behind bars and three years probation. Judge Henry Hudson, the judge who listened to the case and brought defenseless animals some justice, wasn't warming up to Vick's apologies. Instead, he called the dogfighting owner's actions "cruel and inhumane." Having tortured and killed dogs who "didn't perform well," Vick has been found out, future abuse has been prevented and dogs everywhere can sleep better tonight knowing that we are beginning to stand up and protect our beloved animals.
