On Tuesday, October 14 from 1-5 p.m., the fourth meeting of the Medicaid Advisory Group Meeting will take place in the hearing room of the Poydras Building. 

 

Department of Health and Hospitals Secretary Alan Levine established this committee to help provide technical expertise and advice to the Department in its implementation of the Louisiana Health First Initiative to improve health care outcomes in Louisiana. 

 

The event will occur at Poydras Building - Department of Insurance - First floor hearing room 1702 North Third Street, Baton Rouge, La.

ADA-ES, Inc. today announced that on October 21st at 11:00 AM CT, a formal groundbreaking ceremony will take place at Red River Environmental Products, LLC (RREP), in Red River Parish, LA, the construction site of what it expects will be North America’s largest activated carbon (AC) production facility. Winn Dixie

In celebration of American Pharmacist Month, Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc.(NASDAQ:WINN), has rolled out a month-long program offering customers flu and pneumonia vaccinations. Customers using their Winn-Dixie Customer Reward Card will pay $28 for the flu vaccine ($30 for non-cardholders) and $38 for the pneumonia vaccine ($45 for non-cardholders). The grocer is also offering free cholesterol and diabetes screenings at its more than 400 in-store pharmacies.

 

Dow Jones

As of midday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 588 points.   Many point to the developments over the weekend with the international community getting involved in stemming the financial losses.  Others believe that the increase is just due to investors taking profits.

If cell phone use makes one a poor driver I wonder... should those who are deaf get a discount automobile insurance rate since thay can never use cell phones?
