Top Democrat Senators Leaving According to new reports, Sen. Christopher Dodd of Connecticut, chairman of the Senate Banking Committee and a major Democratic Party US Senate leader is scheduled to announce that he will not seek re-electlon.Also, Sen. Byron Dorgan of North Dakota is expected to announce his retirement after this year.
American Water Works Company, Inc., the largest investor-owned U.S. water and wastewater utility company, has named Kellye L. Walker its senior vice president, general counsel and secretary. Effective today, Walker will be replacing George Patrick, who is retiring after serving the company for more than a decade.
Walker served as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary at BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. Prior to joining BJ’s, Walker was a partner with the law firm of Hill & Barlow in Boston, Mass. She also was a partner and/or an associate with the firms of Chaffe, McCall, Phillips, Toler & Sarpy in New Orleans, La.

Penn National Gaming, Inc announced today that effective February 1, 2010, Himbert Sinopoli, 39, has been named General Manager of Hollywood Casino Perryville in Cecil County, Maryland, subject to regulatory approval. Mr. Sinopoli will have full responsibility for all aspects of recruiting and training new employees as well as the start-up and ongoing operation of the planned $97.5 million Hollywood Casino Perryville. The facility will feature 75,000 square feet of gaming space, 1,500 video lottery terminals (VLTs), food and beverage offerings and a retail store and is scheduled to open in late 2010.

Can't imagine why Chris Dodd is leaving. How could he be in political trouble when his fellow criminals in Washington declared him innocent and honorable in the Countrywide scandal??
