Nothing "simple" about your opinion of Ted Kennedy - "spot on accurate" is more like it.

My opinion of this is simple. A trifecta of men who have caused great harm and evil to come to this nation have died recently: Robert McNamara, Walter Cronkite and now Ted Kennedy. Their actions, both public and private, have, perhaps forever, changed the face of this nation for the worse. We will long live with the evil they wrought for their own ends and their own arrogance. No, I do not mourn the death of Ted Kennedy. I do not mourn him for causing the death of Mary Jo Kopechne. I do not mourn him for forcing through the immigration legislation that created “anchor babies”, fast tracked the immigration of relatives from nations hostile to the very foundations of this nation, gives free health care to illegals, stymied the building of a southern border fence, extended numerous social welfare benefits to illegals, attempted to give them social security although they had not paid into the system and caused amnesty instead of enforcement. I do not mourn him for his rabid erosion of Americans’ second amendment rights. I do not mourn him for colluding with the Soviet Union to undermine Ronald Reagan. I do not mourn him for his womanizing and well worn record of what now is called sexual harassment. I do not mourn him for pushing incessantly for nationalized healthcare. I do not mourn him for being instrumental in nationalizing education to the detriment of every publicly educated child to follow. I do not mourn him for his naked hypocrisy in innumerable matters from taxation (creating loopholes for the numerous Kennedy trusts while pushing for confiscatory taxes on those of us who go to work for our sustenance), to green technology (NIMBY as to wind farms or potentially damaging the historic nature of his homes by energy efficiency and green technology modifications). So while I see no benefit in name calling or mindlessly demonizing, I will not take one moment of my life to mourn this man. I will give no moment of rest in fighting the evil and destruction he has brought to this nation in such myriad matters that negatively impact the lives of every American, the constitutional unpinning of this nation and the very future of the republic.

Ted Kennedy passed the torch of the Kennedy Legacy on to Barack Obama last year. He lived long enough to see the restoration of that legacy with the election and inauguration of Barack Obama as president. Unfortunately, Ted didn't live long enough to see the passage of meaningful healthcare reform just like his brother Jack who didn't live to see the passage of the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act. Despite the deep resentment of Ted by conservatives, he was one of the most bipartisan members of the Senate. Barack Obama would be wise to follow Ted's example in passing significant healthcare reform legislation through this Congress as a tribute to his mentor.

Advocacy Groups Urge Corps To Restore Louisiana Storm Barriers??? Perhaps the saying “ask not what your country can do for you but rather ask what you can do for your country” would be sort of applicable here……. Do you know why the Wit House made the chilling forecast they did regarding ‘its’ prediction of a 10-year federal deficit of $9 trillion? Because it knows you are going to let it get away with doing so….. And you aren’t even going to lift a collective finger in an attempt to even plug one single hole in the levee with resources you have at your fingertips…………………… Pity that………… Enjoy the emerging reality………..
