Louisiana Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
Dr. Keith Desonnier, of Lake Charles, is an ENT/Otolaryngologist and was nominated by the Louisiana State Medial Society.
The Louisiana Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology exists to protect the public through the regulation and licensing of speech-language pathologists and audiologists in the state of Louisiana. According to statute, the board is comprised of seven gubernatorial appointments which are subject to senate confirmation.
Parish Board of Election Supervisors
Shaune Scott Abendroth, of Tallulah in Madison Parish, is the office administrator for a paint and body shop and has a bachelor’s of science in accounting from the University of Mississippi.
The Parish Board of Election Supervisors supervises the preparation and the conduct of elections within their respective parishes. According to the statute, each parish board of election supervisors is composed of the registrar of voters, the clerk of court, and a governor appointee who are subject to senate approval.
Louisiana Board of Pharmacy
Sydnie Mae Durand, of St. Martinville, is a former member of the Louisiana House of Representatives representing the 46th District and was also a former chair of the Louisiana House Health and Welfare Committee. Durand will serve on the board as an at-large, consumer member.
The Louisiana Board of Pharmacy serves to regulate the practice of pharmacy in Louisiana in the interest of health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the state of Louisiana. According to statute, the board is comprised of seventeen gubernatorial appointments which are subject to senate confirmation. The governor must select two licensed pharmacists from each pharmacy district and one appointment will serve as an at-large member representing the consumers of Louisiana.
Board of Commissioners of Morgan CityHarbor and Terminal District
Jimmy Skiles, of Morgan City, is the vice president of Laborde Marine Inc., and is a graduate of NichollsStateUniversity. He was nominated for the board by the Berwick City Council, as required by statute.
The Board of Commissioners of Morgan City Harbor and Terminal District serve to regulate the commerce and traffic of the terminal in a manner to best serve the public interest. According to statute, the board is comprised of nine gubernatorial appointments which are subject to senate confirmation.
Orleans Parish Public Administrator
Marlene Babin, of Slidell, has served as the Orleans Parish Public Administrator, since 1984.
The Orleans Parish Public Administrator serves to bury the deceased, accounts for the decedent's assets, pays their debts and outstanding taxes due, and conducts a search for potential heirs. According to statute, the governor shall appoint a public administrator for each parish of the state with a population of 50,000 of more in accordance with the last census. The appointments are subject to senate confirmation.
Medicaid Pharmaceutical and Therapeutic Committee
Dr. Anita Kablinger, of Shreveport, is an associate professor of psychiatry at LSUHealthSciencesCenter in Shreveport, where she conducts research for Alzheimer’s disease, Schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and pathological gambling. Dr. Kablinger was nominated by the Louisiana Psychiatric Association, as required by statute.
The Medicaid Pharmaceutical and Therapeutic Committee serves to deliver a medical assistance program that is cost effective and administered prudently. According to statute, the committee is comprised of seventeen gubernatorial appointments which are subject to senate confirmation.
Veteran’s Affairs Commission
Richard L. Garner, of Bossier City, served in Vietnam from 1965-1966 and was honorably discharged from the army due to an injury. Garner has worked for the Disabled Veterans Outreach Program and for the Louisiana Job Employment Program in Shreveport, counseling and training veterans and also helped to pass legislation naming a portion of I-20 in Caddo and Bossier parishes as the “Purple Heart Recipients Highway.” Garner was nominated by the Military Order of the Purple Heart, as required by statute.
The Veteran’s Affairs Commission serves to determine general and administrative policies to the department of Veteran’s Affairs. They advise the director in problems concerning veterans and publish annual reports to the governor concerning the administration and operation of the department. According to statute, the commission is comprised of seventeen gubernatorial appointments which are subject to senate confirmation.
'Bobby' should probably empower a STRONGCONCRETE advocacy board...... Now that would probably be construed as rational consternation and implementation for the actual needs of Louisiana in part as well as be a benefit to society and taxpayers at large....
