Greg Meffert Attorney Says Credit Card Irrelevant To New Orleans Camera Case

Former New Orleans Chief Technology Officer, Greg Meffert, through his attorney has asked the jury in the closing arguments of a controversial civil trial to consider the credit card issue unimportant.

Randy Smith, who represents Greg Meffert in the civil trial, has told the jury that the corporate credit card that Meffert used has nothing to do with the civil lawsuit involving the crime cameras.

Meffert had used the credit card provided by a Mark St. Pierre company.  Companies associated with St. Pierre had contracts with the City of New Orleans.

The Plaintiffs in the case Southern Electronic and Active Solutions are claiming that their crime camera technology was filched by the defendants.

Meffert is a target in a federal criminal probe associated with the civil trial facts.
