Once again, I am exhausted after attending on Friday, the delicious French Quarter Citizen's 14th Annual Progressive dinner in four lovely historic residences. On Saturday, I attended the very elegant Odyssey Ball and the opening of the New Orleans Museum of Art's Object of Desire: Faberge from the Hodges Family Collection. I was in heavens, since the Museum was transformed by Blaine Kern Jr.'s Mardi Gras Production into a Russian palace in honor of Faberge. I loved the Caspian Sea Stations with caviar ,vodka and champagne. Entertainment was by legendary pianist Allen Toussaint, lovely chanteause Anais St John along with Harry Mayronne and others.Make sure you stop by the Museum and see the fabulous collection.
Well, this week coming up is going to be full of fun events as well.. I am going to start by hosting my monthly Round Table Luncheon, followed by a preview of the china, flatware and linen that is going to be part of the Roosevelt Hotel. I am looking forward, as well, to attend Mozart's Don Giovanni at McAlister Auditorium on November 14 and 16.. On Saturday, I will be attending the LOUISIANA SPCA’s 2008 HOWLING SUCCESS with "The Great Catsby" theme at their site, 1700 Mardi Gras Blvd; the Cancer Crusader Gala at the J.W. Marriot; and the Emeril Lagasse Foundation's Carnivale du Gala and Wine Auction. Enjoy your week.
