New Orleans Mayor Nagin Quarantine In China Due To Flu

Based upon a Sunday press release from New Orleans Mayor C. Ray Nagin, the Mayor "who traveled on Friday to Shanghai, China on an economic development trip, was informed early today that another passenger on the airplane in which he was traveling has been confirmed to have signs and symptoms of an influenza-like illness suspected to be of the H1N1 subtype and the passenger is undergoing quarantine and treatment.

As a precaution, Mayor Nagin, Mrs. Nagin and one member of the Mayor's Executive Protection Unit have been placed in a designated quarantine location in Shanghai and they remain symptom free.

The Mayor is being treated with utmost courtesy by Chinese officials.

Mayor Nagin is scheduled to travel to Sydney, Australia, where he is scheduled to deliver a keynote address and lead a panel discussion on climate change at the 2009 National Summit of the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney.

As a result of the recent events, Mayor Nagin's travel schedule may be altered. Mayor Nagin is feeling well and continues to be in communication with his staff."

Of course, the long-range test missile Nagin would be on would not reach land. This would cause unnecessary pollution and would cause undue harm to the intestinal constitution of the poor sharks that stumble upon him, upon landing. I retract my earlier idea for the sake of cleaner air, and for the sake of the sharks.

I hear Nagin's trip has spurred economic development locally. Further, the rumor is, if China keeps him, more businesses intend on relocating here. Nagin is a genius... he did spur economic development by traveling to China. Unfortunately, his return (if it occurs in less than 10 months), will bring us right back to square one. Maybe, once released, China can send him over to North Korea and they can return him to the U.S. free-of-charge -- on board a long-range test missile. Now that's first class travel.

Well, dears, we understand that the Mayor of Shanghai is worried that he might catch the newest virus - Nagin's 愚蠢. Translation for those who cannot read foreign languages - Nagin's Stupidity. Hopefully, others sitting nearby did not catch it either.
