The second anniversary of Katrina for the Mayor of New Orleans, Ray Nagin was an emotional roller coaster.During a press conference held Wednesday, Nagin described his Tuesday night dinner engagement with President Bush in which various individuals discussed the positives of the rebuild. However, on Wednesday, Nagin said that New Orleans is recovering but that the American promise needs to be fulfilled.
Nagin said that if America can send a man to the moon and other technological advances and spend “trillions” on Iraq, it can make sure the money gets to the people of New Orleans.
Nagin said that it is important that President Bush cut through all of the red tape and engage in executive orders to fulfill his promises he made to the American people and the citizens of New Orleans.
The Mayor emphasized that the people of New Orleans were suffering, many still living in FEMA trailers and he looked hopeful that the next Anniversary would be more promising.
Yep, C.Ray "let em drown" Nagin "were not going to debate how much money has been allocated...100 Billion dollars is alot of money" YEAH IT IS! And what C. Ray is really saying is DON'T LOOK EVERYONE while I shove handfulls of cash in my pockets and in all my friends pockets. THIS IS WHY the rest of the U.S. has Katrina Fatique!!!!!!

I love this "non-political", "no finger point" event. The only way it will be more promising next is if Willie Wonka Nagin is not mayor. What a waste of flesh (yet he was re-elected). So it goes...

George Bush (or any other president for that matter) could open up and earmark the entire Federal Treasury for the city of New Orleans and for some it still wouldn't be enough.
