New Orleans, Louisiana--According to the City of New Orleans, an investigation confirms there is no leak in 17th Street Canal wall.  The city in a state said the following;

At 09:54 am this morning a call came into the Emergency Operations Center reporting a leak in the 17th Street Canal wall near the corner of West End Street and Opal Street. Resources from the Sewerage and Water Board, Levee Police, Army Corps of Engineers, and Entergy were dispatched to the scene.

There is no leak in the 17th Street Canal wall. Further investigation by the Sewage and Water Board determined that the leak was not a water or sewer pipeline. Instead it was an Entergy duct from their sub-station. Entergy has confirmed that there is water coming through their duct. They will address and repair the duct system appropriately. The source of the water is still under investigation.

The New Orleans Public Safety entities will remain engaged and state this is not a threat to any levee or protection system.
