Sarah Palin Speech To GOP In New Orleans: Let Presidential Election Begin

Written by: Jeff Crouere

Clearly, voters made a huge mistake in 2008 and elected a man who has set this country on a dangerous liberal course. The American people are disappointed and angry and will make corrections in the mid-term elections of November 2010.

Voters must also limit President Obama to one term and defeat him in the 2012 election. Who is the best Republican to challenge Obama? At this point, it seems clear that Sarah Palin is the only candidate with the support and talent to carry the Republican Party to victory in 2012.

Palin is the superstar in the GOP today, standing head and shoulders above other potential presidential nominees. The only other potential candidate who excites such enthusiasm among the grassroots is Texas Congressman Ron Paul and it is doubtful that he will run in 2012. Palin has unique attributes and is the only Republican on the national scene with the passion, principles and persistence to take on a slick opponent like President Obama in 2012.

Is Palin interested in running for President? Yes, I believe that she will be a candidate for President, which is why she decided to address the Southern Republican Leadership Conference (SRLC) in New Orleans in April. This is a major development and ensures that the event will be wildly successful. The conference will be the first step in that long path toward the 2012 GOP nomination. According to SRLC Executive Director Charlie Davis, “The Southern Republican Leadership Conference is the most prominent Republican event outside of a Republican National Convention. It is held every two to four years and brings the top Republican activists, donors, candidates, and elected officials together for three days of training, briefings, receptions and speeches from the leaders of the Republican Party.”

At the SRLC, there will be an important 2012 GOP presidential straw poll among attendees from 14 southern states. By participating, Palin is indicating that she wants to win this poll and raise support for a potential presidential campaign.

It makes perfect sense for Palin to consider a presidential campaign. Last year, Palin scored a homerun with her best selling book. A year end Gallup poll showed that the American people listed Palin as one of the most admired women in America. In addition, polls show that Palin and Obama are running dead even in a hypothetical 2012 presidential match-up.

Palin has made a major recovery since her ticket’s loss in the 2008 election and her controversial decision to resign as Governor of Alaska. It is even more remarkable that her recovery has come about despite being a constant target of late night comedians and liberals in the media.

While enduring the nasty assault, Palin has been able to maintain her composure and return fire. In the process, she has not strayed from her conservative principles.

Obviously, she is giving a presidential race serious consideration and the announcement that she will be attending the SRLC in New Orleans is a boost to not only the event organizers, but also to everyone who would like to see her as the 2012 GOP presidential nominee.

When observing someone walking around gazing off into the sky as it walks through a cow pasture it is probably not very objective to get into a long dissertation about the consequences of wandering around in lapsodasical fashion when a person should shout; “HEY!!! YOU ARE ABOUT TO STEP IN A REALLY BIG PILE OF STEAMY FRESH COW PLOP!!!! And I highly doubt that it would be prudent to break into long stanzas of the Star Spangled Banner instead of simply yelling “HEY STUPID, THE BULL IS ABOUT TO CHARGE YOU!!!!” When you see it starting to head across the pasture towards the fool. How’s that for negative, short, glib, and unoriginal? And I read somewhere someone was talking about observations?

She is not very intelligent. Why would you support such a woman when there are good candidates from the Republican Party available?

Ever notice how the pro-Palin entries are well-written, thoughful, longer and much more objective. The negative ones are short, glib and not very original. Just an observation.

Sarah Palin is a formidable woman with clear ideas and rock solid principles. If Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan would have had a daughter together, here name would be Sarah Palin. I believe that she will be the Republican candidate in 2012, and will be our last best chance to save the USA from following the course of the bankrupt USSR under the Obama/Pelosi/Reid ¨Trioka¨. The 2012 race could be quite similar to the 1980 race, with Sarah Palin as her hero, Ronald Reagan, and B. Hussein Obama as the failed President Carter. From the ashes of bankrupt socialist politics of the left we may yet see a new burst of freedom and growth under a Palin Presidency.

If she is our best chance, we're in big trouble. She is a quitter and many republicans and more than enough independents will not vote for her. Jeff must have been over visiting with Limpy when he wrote this column. Way too much OXY!

Well, here we are on the last day of the closing of the first full week of the first new decade of the new millennium. Of course the new millennium is rapidly getting old. Freezing our collective asses off way - way - way down here in the warm – warm – warm, deep – deep – deep South. Slowly but surely, we here down in the deep – deep – deep South along with the rest of the nation are starting to realize that the party is over. Oh sure, we still have a lot of hangeron’ers that believe they can continue on with the same stale old tactics and games they have been playing and still maintain a semblance of some kind of democratic ‘order’, prosperity, harmonious society, but the truth is it only gets worse after this. And of course the pariahs, and the users, and the manipulators, and the crooks and the vandals will become more and more desperate in their attempts to force people to keep them fed and clothed. Corruption, incompetence, malfeasances, distractions, inactions will only become more marked as they continue to escalate. And the propaganda media will continue to spin selective stories and angles, lines, and nuances to keep you huddled around as the walls come crashing in. So enjoy your new realities as you vote, or don’t vote, take your pick for whatever puppet it is that is presented on the ticket for your selections. Keep on with the politically correct babble… Enjoy your upcoming food shortages, your diseases, your unemployment, your lack of opportunity, your lack of safety, your general lack of what used to be the prosperity of America. We are pretty much wrecked, so enjoy your new realities that are about to appear on the horizon in stark living color because as a collective whole, we have earned it. And there isn’t a God Damned thing you are going to be able to do to stop it. And why? Well, because you simply gave up that’s why and you chose idiots and clowns to lead you.
