Gov Jindal Fiddles With Nationals While Louisiana Burns

Written by: Stephen Sabludowsky

Buzz Right Back----E-Mail a Friend----Print Page

THIS WAS WRITTEN BEFORE THE GOVERNOR DECIDED TO VETO THE LEGISLATURE PAYRAISE.  WE ARE GLAD TO HAVE HELPED IN THE PROCESS AND THANK SO MANY THOUSANDS WHO HAVE COME TOGETHER TO HELP MAKE THIS HAPPEN.  DETAILS ON RALLY WILL FOLLOW.

Call me "nuts".

But, while Louisiana is burning a firestorm of anger over the lack of faith in government and executive governing, Bobby Jindal is fiddling around on Sunday CNN talking about the Presidential elections.

While the Ethics Commission has engaged in mass resignations causing havoc to “Ethics Reform”, his top legislative lobbyist is leaving the administration, a recall petition embarrassing Louisiana has been filed urging him to honor his campaign promises, yet, Governor Jindal goes on national media sayng John McCain needs to be more “proactive”.

If anyone needs proactivity right now, it’s the man manning the Mansion.

His own political base wants his hide over PayRaiseGate.  Photos of Governor Jindal in major local publications depict him as spineless, a “jellyfish”.  His honeymoon is not just over, thousands want a divorce.

Now, he’s opining over John McCain and the presidential election on CNN?

Right now is not ripe for him to be a political analyst, a vice president candidate but for him to fix what he has broken.

He tells us in a written statement after a recall petition is launched against him by one of his supporters that citizens are angry.  What an understatement!  They are outraged at him.

Governor Jindal is too smart, too educated, too bright to be so politically dull.

He can check my e-mails from literally scores of every day former Jindal supporters who can’t wait to protest against him at the July 7 rally at the Louisiana state capitol.  They are calling for veto action, or else, they want to sign his recall.

Jindal can get Louisiana back on track but the images of jelly, or a mannequin without a man is what they now see.

Louisiana needs a leader to focus on what the people want, not what he wants.  The time is now.  CNN and national aspirations can wait.  He can be proactive.  But, he must first be a political pro and active in salving Louisiana's burning anger.  There's little time for him to be an amateur Chief Executive. Obviously, I am not only one who is nuts.  The people want his scalp and Louisiana's rehabilitation--not a modern day Nero facing national TV while Louisiana burns.

Well Mr. ??????, your observation is probably valid or pertinent, I would just suppose that it depends on who is the {"what's best for all"}, or specifically what is the party that the ['all'] is specifically composed of...... It would be reasonable of me at this point to request you forward an opinion of that, or at least a % value when it comes to the 'all' you are speaking of and what their net value is either in the negative or the postitive abstract being as you want to advocate the broad postion of 'ALL'...... I wonder what your comparison is when you profess a lack of 'what's in it for me'............. as a bench mark statement..

It's Deconstruction Time! "Anonymous" writes: "I have been around long enough to be convinced that the voters in Ann Duple$$i$, Bill Jefferson's district and Cleo Fields district, care only that they share the same skin color." I have pointed out time and time again that Jefferson Parish whites sitting on their hands at the bidding of the late Harry Lee are just as responsible for the re-election of Bill Jefferson as any black person anywhere in that district. "All that one has to do is to look at re-election results." Huh? This statement does not follow from the previous one - it's a non sequitur. "In a similar line of philosophy, citizens of Egypt were surveyed and overwhelmingly want Obama to be elected President of the U.S. because they share the same skin color as the citizens of Egypt." The citizens of Egypt share the same skin color as the citizens of Egypt? Are you sure? I'd like to see some data on that one! Mais je peux 'oir que quelqu'un est pas tres sma't icit. TW

Sen. Ann Duplessis said that "there was not a public outcry on the pay raise issue and just a few media personalities blowing it out of proportion. If she had an advertising budget she would tell the other side." If the people of her district don't recall her for absolute stupidity then they deserve any other attempt at self dealing that she dreams up. WAKE UP YOU FOOLS.....

6/30/08 2 pm. Now that it has been announced that Jindal has indeed vetoed the pay raise bill it is appropriate to bring up an old quote: "It takes a big man to admit when he's made a mistake". Maybe this has all worked out in the best interest of the people, as many have had a wake up call and gone the extra mile to become involved. But,this is after all Louisiana. Stay tuned.

One last thing - I saw that picture of Jindal on a bass boat fishing, and all I could think about was Dukakis in that tank. Any of y'all see that? TW

People crucified me last year for exposing Bobby for what he really is. I called it like I saw it. It's unfortunate that almost everyone sees the same thing now, he's the elected Governor.

Why is anyone surprised by this? Bobby McExorcism has had his eyes on national office since the get-go. All he is is one skin-covered mass of pure ambition. He never stayed with any job longer than 4 years, and even then, he ended up neglecting his duties because he was gunning for the next job. Too many of you were swindled too easily. Here in this forum, Dan and I tried repeatedly to expose his past record, and it fell on deaf ears, because too many of you were fooled by his huge PR machine - they and the corporate media played you all like a fiddle. All he did during the campaign season was spout conservative platitudes and refuse to debate, and y'all voted for him anyway. Even Stephen keeps fawning over him - even when Stephen criticizes Jindal, he has to throw in a bunch of flowery compliments. Why? The guy's a shrill, self-centered, egomaniacal hack who politically is to the right of Attila the Hun. And as I've said time and time again, he's not going to make it nationwide because he's too damn conservative. With regard to abortion - no exceptions for rape and incest victims? That may play in many parts of this state, but it isn't going to play in the country at large. Intelligent Design? A Republican judge in PA threw it out - and biology major Jindal could have vetoed it here - but he doesn't have a single clue as to when he should use his veto pen. He's a weak, sorry-*ss excuse for a chief executive, that's all I have to say. TW

Jindal's appearance on CNN was pathetic overall although he did the best he could with a bunch of loaded questions about the presidential campaign that just never seem to be asked of Democrats on that station. Thank God for Fox News! Mr S, you are right on this one, Jindal needs to take care of business here in Louisiana before appearing on any more national talking head shows on any news network. I don't feel so much "fooled" as I do dissapointed in Jindal and I will be signing the recall petition if for no other reason than to demonstrate the total frustration many of us feel towards politicians in general. It's high time we send a message.

His own political hide means more to him than the citizens of Louisiana. His background indicated this and thousands felt for his rhetoric. We intend to sign the petition and will send it to the chairman of the recall. Print it out from online and do the same. If you have more in your neighborhood or friends willing to do it, then have them sign it also. Let's not waste any more time.
