Who is the best person to be Governor of Louisiana?
I wanted to know directly from the candidates so I could share these moments with you.
Obviously, many people have made up their minds as to whom to vote. Some have not.I have not done so since I want to wait until all the evidence, facts, commercials, debates run their course and then decide.
For Louisiana, this election is truly a momentous occasion. Our lives were torn asunder by Katrina and Rita. All of the candidates have good ideas and have worked hard to build their themes. Now, it is crunch time.We must vote and we should. We should show the world that we care so much about our state, given what we have gone through that voting is a major opportunity, right and duty.
We need to decide who is the best candidate to lead us with the issues of economic development, the budget, working with the legislature, working with Congress, inspiring our youth, building roads and so much more.
Competency matters and so does honesty.Who is the best person to lead this state is for all of us to choose.
Throughout this page are YOUTUBE interviews I engaged with the candidates before and after the WWL and affiliates debate on Thursday night.I hope that they are helpful to you. Also jump right in and join the debate either on thestoryLouisiana Governor Candidates Face Voters In Final Debate or underneath this column.
Remember please, we have faced the miserable. This is our chance for a new beginning.Vote your conscience. But, please vote.
So with all the Votes in Jindal gets 54% of the vote. I guess Dan, Diaperman, and Audrey, will be eating crow considering all of them predicted that Jindal wouldn't get over 50% I belive Mrs. George said he would get betwwen 36-42 Percent and both Diaperman and Dan said 42% tops. Concrats to all of us that voted we voted with our minds we supported our candiates with our hearts. To those you you who DID NOT VOTE... YOU HAVE NO ROOM TO COMPLAIN about who will be in the Governors mansion!

Bravo, Lonny, Bravo. We consider Stephen to have been objective in his discussions and reporting. If we could only have had more like him. The election tomorrow appears to be based on what the citizens will do - vote or go home. If anyone will be to blame for problems with the elected officials, it will be those who failed to vote. Hunt,
I have read your postings that this columnist, Steve, is a "liberal hack". If you have read his columns, you will see that he agrees with many of the policies of the Louisiana Family Forum except for a few dealing with discrimination. He also would have endorsed a liberal, he endorsed nobody. He also would not have written a column first criticizing the Louisiana Democratic Party for using the Indian name of Bobby Jindal. Nor would he have said that he voted for Jindal and the past and could do so during this race. Nor would he have publically asked Governor Blanco to step down and publically asked John Breaux to not run. He also would not have conservative columnists writing on his web site. So, how about being constructive with your comments instead of attacking or how about being a man and proving your position. So, where is your proof? You are getting old. Written by Lonny Davison

Stephen, your final statement sums it all up. We shall vote our conscience for the individual we believe best suited to lead this state into the future. Thank you for your continued stories on this gubernatorial race with such a major impact. Written by RhettsWife
