This 2007 gubernatorial campaign will be remembered as the year of political cross dressing by candidates who switch because the voters in their party are not voting for them. It does not seem to matter to these candidates that changing political philosophy to appease your new party is that big of a deal! Being a businessman and having a pro business voting record means nothing- just switch and attack the business community because winning the governor’s race in 2007 is much more important than political philosophy and or beliefs. The two switchers (actually John Georges is the process of polling to determine which switch benefits him more – do I change to democrat or no-party – please tell me what polling has to do with my beliefs and philosophy) Walter Boasso and John Georges both tout they are successful businessmen and this qualifies them to be governor. Yet, the vast majority of business men in Louisiana are registered republicans or they vote republican.Very few Louisiana businessmen give a dime to the Democratic Party either nationally or locally. Very few of Louisiana’s businessmen are giving money to Boasso or Georges – yet they are businessmen – go figure! I also seriously doubt Boasso or Georges will get many of their fellow businessmen to vote for them. Hey – with their new philosophy and their new potential voters from their new party or no-party – they could care less about the business community as this group was not voting for them to start with. Speaking of no-party voters – newspaper reporters recently wrote stories about the Georges’s poll showing he has a strong 3% in his own poll – but if he changes to no-party, he shoots up to a whopping 8%. Based on this “huge” shift to him – Georges predicts he will make runoff. Well no reporter bothered to look up the voting tendencies of these no-party voters. If they had – this is what they would have discovered – no-party voters are the least likely to vote group (what pollster does not know this fact– however the political professors and others quoted in this story did not know this pertinent fact- amazing)! No-party voters made up only about 12% of the total voters in the 2003 governor’s race runoff. Can you believe this: 70% of the no-party voters did not bother to vote in 2003 hotly contested governor’s runoff election.Gee what a great strategy, base you campaign on a group of voters who do not vote (brilliant)!I guess you could run as an independent against the establishment – but come Election Day – with no blacks and no republicans – you cannot get enough whites to make runoff.But this mathematical reality seems to be lost in favor of a poll showing you with a whopping 8% of voter who do not vote!
MAYBE THERE IS A SMARTER WAY– sign up thousands of contributors and then sign up thousands of volunteers – then place thousands of yards sign in communities throughout Louisiana. WHAT ABOUT THIS: Schedule political functions in communities across Louisiana that turn out big numbers of your supporters so they fill up the building! These supporters then create excitement about your candidacy with more volunteers and more bumper strikers and more yard signs. Pretty soon you will be over 50% in the polls and not 3%. Guess what? That is what Bobby Jindal is doing across Louisiana on a daily basis – the Jindal campaign is absolutely one of the best campaigns ever put together (period)
Any reporter or political consultant that does not appreciate the size and scope of the Jindal Campaign – is clueless! Jindal is a tireless campaigner and has been regularly traversing the state for years. Some of us believe there must be two or three Bobby Jindal’s – no one person can be in that many places so often. This approach is obviously paying off for Jindal as he now packs them in where ever he appears and his poll number reflect his campaign’s efforts. Jindal’s republican supporters know only this –Jindal is a conservative and he is a republican and he would never switch philosophy for party.
A Note to the "Reporter" of this Article:
If there is a God, may he protect B.J. (Jindal) from sitting in a bathroom stall next to you.
Why don't you just ask him to "GO STEADY" & save the unsuspecting public from your sappy courting ritual!
YUCK!

You're nothing more than a hack, Pinsonat.

Pinsonet is in a freak down! Any doubt who he works for should be cleared up by his rant. He is freaking because Boasso and Georges has peeled his white vote to 58. If little Bobby doesn't clock in at 63 on white vote, we talking runoff where he will get caught again in the gap like last time. Bigger problems for him this time. Boasso IS a bonafide "Bubba" and there is no camaflouge photo that can overcome that for little Bobby. Take an asprin Pinsonet and call the doctor on Tuesday! Deja vu 2003!

Hey Bernie, a couple of weeks ago I made a comment on your last poll. I'm supposing that whoever paid for that poll set the criteria for it. If that's the case I owe you an apology. YOu did what you were paid to do as a third party. Bernie please accept my apology.
Now!!! Your article is a good one. If I was nuetral I would probably love it but I'm not. I'm biased! Here's my take, I agree the Jindal campaign machine is awesome. They are on the summit. They have all the fancy equipment you can have to climb the mountain to Baton Rouge!! Myself, heck I don't even have a safety rope and I'm scaling the mountain barefooted! I posted part of this on another topic. Earlier I had wrote a reply and it didn't come through. I'm so tired of hearing about that Democratic commercial. It's over let it go. For a candidate so favored he should be looking forward. I take a lot of heat from his supporters.
That's okay too, I can dish it out I better be able to take it. I believe if you talked to the other candidates you'll find that they consider me a worthy opponnet.
I have been in forums with them and debates. For such an enpet candidate as I am deemed I have done very well. If I had the money Bernie I would hire your firm to run a poll, I am confident I would get enough in the poll to get in those debates. With all that said I'll close with this;
Poor Bobby, he's so innocent. He hasn't disrespected anybody this summer. He's been a straight up guy. Just ask the organizers of the Greater Baton Rouge Association of Health Underwriters. They just recently cancelled their Gubernatorial Forum because after numerous failed attempts to get a response from Bobby about his presence Boasso backed out. Jindal was deemed a no show. Organizers are somewhat dismayed ecspecially after their organization contributed heavily to Bobby's campaign account. Ask the organizers of the other seven or eight functions he didn't show up for! Maybe he's just misunderstood. Hey it's Bobby the wonder boy. Bobby attacks people's morals. But when his religous values came under fire he was upset. Rightfully so, but don't run an ad the next day calling other candidates corrupt clowns! That's okay! Hey it's Bobby! I could go on and on. The hypocrisy coming from the Bobby Jindal bus is getting pretty smelly. Some of the pie eyed people need to sit back and truly be honest. Look at what's happening. We can't even focus on the real issues. Money and leadership do not go hand in hand. People jumping parties because their feelings get hurt, people wanting to jump parties because they might get more votes, people throwing stones at everyone while crying a foul has been committed against them. Is this the type of leaders you want? I'm flabbergasted. Again, money and leadership do not go hand in hand.
