Louisiana, national and international news gets more interesting every day. On the home front, Former Mayor Marc Morial attorney gets a stiff jail sentence. The Louisiana Public Service declares an energy emergency which could be a political focus for the upcoming elections. News alert: Fema flood maps might be inaccurate, duh?
Nationally, the Russian Georgia battle might be having an impact upon the John McCain elections other than his position on the war. Then, the really badnews--plunging auto sales. Think energy has something to do with it?
It will be an interesting few months as Louisiana goes to the polls to decide issues such as public corruption, energy, a new president, a new Congress. So, what else is new?
I realize many (most?) people are looking for a strong responsible leader from (whatever) party with perhaps specific stances on this or that issue. Myself, I'd like to see our politicians have less power to determine issues and less of our maoney to waste and steal... or perhaps there's "change" in the wind!!!! (hoo-yah yeah Buddy!!!) Then again .... I seriously doubt it. Written by kpf
