Now that the mystery is over regarding whether Bobby Jindal will be selected to be Vice President, the story of his administration can unfold.
Whether Jindal had no chance to be VP or whether he gave up his opportunity for Louisiana is a chapter we might not ever know, but, in reality, it matters little.
Right now, the key issue is governing Louisiana.
Frankly, that is where Jindal can absolutely excel.
In my mind, there is little doubt that he can lift our destinies in the area of economic development.
Anyone involved in this arena has known that Louisiana must diversify and build the infrastructure needed. We also must make ourselves more competitive in the various vertical areas.
Yesterday, New Orleans broke ground on a bioinnovation center on Canal Street. That project has been in the works for years but it also has been helped by the Jindal administration.Other high-tech medical centers are in the works in New Orleans.
Baton Rouge won another nice victory with its partnership with digital media giant, Electronic Arts.Although we are not talking about a tremendous amount of jobs, it is the potential and the relationships that really matter here. This industry is the future.
Louisiana is positioned to expand its manufacturing corridor with Nucor. While there have been symbolic and real setbacks with national job losses involving General Motors and the recent announcement of Oreck’s departure, on the whole, the balance sheet is heavily weighed towards the positive.Plus, with the legislative session out of the way, we are now able to really move forward towards job training, attraction, retention, and growth.
The team of Jindal and Steve Moret is a potent one. There are many projects on the table. Some of them take years to reach fruition such as the bioinnovation center. But, make no mistake about it—Louisiana will continue its forward motion as long as we are not hampered by a bad stroke of luck caused by “mother nature”.
David Vitter
The recent rebuke by the FEC of David Vitter’s attempt to use campaign funds to cover his legal fees raises at least two issues.First, the more general one:Why should any elected official be able to use the campaign funds for anything other than their own campaign for a single office?
There is something inherently wrong with the system that is created by politicians that allow them to maintain war chests for future attempts for elected offices or to contribute to other campaigns. If one gives money to a candidate, it should be for that campaign only.Any other money left over should be turned over to a fund and given to legitimate charities based upon a lottery system. There should be changes in the state and federal laws on this issue.Politicians should not be able to build fiefdoms for their own personal future.
As far as the specific issue which the FEC gave a draft opinion regarding his use of his campaign funds to pay for legal fees, the FEC is absolutely right and Vitter once again has shown his utter disregard for decency.
If he had told the truth about his dealings with women other than his wife, he would not have needed attorneys. The question is not about his philandering in the past.It is about his telling the truth now.If he had been open and honest about his behavior over the past four years including the past year instead of pretending that he has told us everything, he would not have needed legal feeds to determine if he should take the 5th Amendment in the Washington Madam case.If he broke the law which is obviously what he was concerned about otherwise, why would he had been taking the 5th, he should pay the price and not represent Louisiana. The very last thing he ought to be allowed to do is to use campaign funds to cover up what the people have the right to know.
Kennedy versus Landrieu
A few weeks ago, the Kennedy camp was touting an online poll saying they were ahead of Landrieu and claiming victory as if the election had just occurred. This week, the Landrieu camp is claiming a 16-point lead after a Rasmussen poll. The bottom line is that polls (whether offline or online) are great media but what we need to see are debates.
It is pitiful that the candidates are feeding us negative ads on television and online, talking garbage about one another and not talking the issues. The seat for Louisiana US Senate is too important for our full recovery than to not speak directly to the people and to not be challenged by their opponents. For almost two years, we heard countless debates from the Democratic and Republican presidential challengers until the primary and caucus voters made their calls.Louisiana deserves much more from those who want to represent us and they should do it now.
Dude, I pulled a sentence out of your rant and found it word for word, commas included, in Wikipedia. So you either pulled it out of Wikipedia, pulled it from someone else who stole it from Wikipedia, or (ha ha) wrote the Wikipedia article yourself. The choice is yours. And calling me a troll is cute, when you consider that if one looks up "troll" in the dictionary, one will find that it has a picture of your dumb*ss right there. TW Written by Tee Dub

Piyush, er uh…….. Little Bobby Brady,, cough, cough, cough, uhhhh,,,, Bobby Jindal……… Aheeeemmm… GOVERNOR BOBBY JINDAL OF LOUISIANA……. There now, that was a brief presentation on the theory of evolution….. But when it comes down to it, that subject in actuality has nothing to do with Louisiana’s future evolution….. I would suppose that his psyche for all practical purposes is trapped in some kind of retarded H.R. PufnStuf inspired time warp……. (oh gaaaacckkkkkkk)…… He is really only willing to stand on a platform of non confrontational issues…. For instance, ranting and raving about child molesters. That is fairly safe territory for him to tread around on being as that societal cancer is generally abhorred by the common masses. And besides, it is good for Nielson ratings…. Now if he really wanted to dive into societal ailments that directly and indirectly affect every single citizen of the State of Louisiana he would figure out a way to crack down (‘crack’ down, ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!!) on the illicit drug problems in this state… That means the importers, the manufacturers, and the distributors of this menace.. But it would be too controversial because he is no moron…. Remember, he IS a ‘Rhodes Scholar’, and he knows that in order for this to be as prevalent problem as it is, there has to be someone, or a big group of someone’s that are in position of authority to shield and regulate this trade… Take Chiang Kai-shek for example……. Lieutenant General Claire Lee Chennault was a United States military aviator who commanded the "Flying Tigers" during World War II. He attended Louisiana State University between 1909 and 1910, and later joined a small group of American civilians training Chinese airmen and served as "air adviser" to Kuomintang (KMT) leader Chiang Kai-shek and his wife, Soong Mei-ling, during the Sino-Japanese War (1937-1945). The “Flying Tigers”, which was formed consisting mainly of U.S. donated P-40 Warhawk’s flown by Chinese nationals and a handful of U.S. pilots in the China-Burma-India Theater…. After the wars end, and the “Flying Tigers” were disbanded, and Chennault basically helped Chiang Kai-shek form Burma’s Civil Air Transport which later was renamed the recognizable Air America that was for all practical purposes headquartered in Thailand, funded by U.S. dollars, and closely involved (as in funding, transporting , advocating, and distribution in Vietnam as well as the United States) with drug cartels of the region…… Chiang was reelected by the National Assembly to be the President of the Republic of China (ROC) on May 20, 1954 and again in 1960, 1966, and 1972. He continued, as the President of the Republic of China, to claim sovereignty over all of China. So in essence, the U.S. Government in part was funding and backing the ROC in its efforts to distribute drugs such as heroin and morphine to American soldiers stationed in Vietnam during the 60’s and the 70’s…….. Chiang Kai-shek enjoyed ‘cozy’ relations with the U.S. clear up to his death in 1975, and his wife Soong May-ling was revered by many U.S. diplomats and she was brought to the United States to live out the remainder of her days which ended a few years ago in 2003…… Now a person could say that Chiang Kai-shek should have been so grateful for the volunteer aid supplied to his group in the defense of China against Japanese that he would never dream of, let alone participate in ‘hooking’ American soldiers, and eventually a rather large portion of the citizenship of the United States on drugs…… Sometime during the early 70’s Chiang Kai-shek was overheard answering a question put to him by a U.S. Ambassador… The question was in search of an answer as to why he willingly participated in ‘poisoning’ American troops, and ultimately American citizens back in the United States with drugs… His answer; “ We only did to you what you had done to us” in reference to the opium trade advocated by the ‘Anglos’ before the Boxer Rebellion and the subsequent atrocities committed by ‘Anglos’ during this rebellion that lasted roughly between the years of 1839 to 1860….. So it is obvious that Chiang Kai-shek had a deep seated bitterness towards the West, and a vindictive nature….. And kept history in mind, even while smiling to his accomplices faces… which culminated in disastrous results for the basic fabric of American society…. And this situation has only deepened where the subject of drugs can be concerned…. But what is more appalling than that uncovered mindset is the fact that individuals embedded in positions of authority in the governmental and leadership hierarchy of the United States of America actively condoned and advocated this situation under the catch all umbrella of ‘sanctioned’ U.S. Foreign Policy… So I would suppose that when it comes to any actions that are intended to rid or reduce Louisiana from any illicit drug trafficking problems, little Piyush is fearful of taking on any meaningful stand or position that may cause unknowns amongst the status quo that hold his leash and feeds him tid-bits that help further his political career any threat of substantial revenue generating retardation… The same can probably also be said when it comes to Louisiana Coastal Restoration efforts and funding……. And he is not going to take any meaningful position on this aside from being an emissary constantly attempting to leverage more funding from the U.S. Treasury…. And perhaps there is an age old resentment in existence that is at the root of its subject and pursuits shared amongst select members of ‘Louisiana hierarchy’ when it is considered that after the Louisiana Territory was purchased (or Vente de la Louisiane, there’s some French there for you T-Duhhb, u spelling Nazi you) by the U.S. taxpayers under the directions of President Thomas Jefferson, the state of Louisiana eventually ended up being around 44,000 sq. miles in size instead of the original 828,000 square miles acquired……. And so, by hook or by crook, Louisiana is going to ‘stick’ the U.S. taxpayer for everything we can fleece it out of under the auspices of the pursuit of ‘coastal restoration’ and ‘protection’ because subconsciously some fractionalized and wealthy segments of the 28% of our state’s voters that succeeded in getting him ‘put’ into office feel either slighted or entitled to it, regardless of whether or not ‘their’ plans will work well, or works initiated were well planned as we collect all the funds we can get away with. I suppose that is a good example of vice-versa…. Or perhaps even a Shanghai or a Chiang Kai-shek style vendetta (and there’s a smattering of Latin as well as some Mandarin, or more specifically a Wu Chinese dialect there fer ya T-Duhb, see, at least I am thinking of you… isn’t that just grand?) Additionally there are the unwitting accomplices of the status quo that supports this agenda even though they are ignorant of its particulars or nuances while helping to fly the planes that are ‘moving towards the future’… so that they can make their little paychecks and pursue the ‘American Dream’….. Oh how RKO of them………………. You see, state sponsored media propaganda can move the world…… And generally to an unfortunate demise or lessening of values or quality of life…… But back to Piyush, er uh…….. Little Bobby Brady,, cough, cough, cough, uhhhh,,,, Bobby Jindal……… Aheeeemmm… GOVERNOR BOBBY JINDAL OF LOUISIANA……. I am happy to hear about Louisiana and EA……… Not that I care whether or not it is an NGO or not, but when you read between the lines, there is around 14 million worth of ‘State Assistance’ in one form or another being provided, and the state ‘hopes’ to see a return within 5 years… Ha-ha-ha-ha!!! But this is a positive methodology to follow, and I hope the returns are there…. But then again one has to look at the playing field…… (T-Duhb, wut wuz that crazy post alluding to someone getting some kind of backup from mommy you made in another article? Wuz dat a ‘Freudian slip’, or a frenzied flip?) At present, Electronic Arts (EA) is the only third-party publisher present in the S&P 500 diversified list of large U.S. corporations. Notable former publishers - - - - 3DO (console manufacturer) (defunct)… Acclaim Entertainment (defunct)…. Accolade (acquired by Atari née Infogrames) (defunct)…. Atari (console manufacturer) (acquired by Infogrames, which then renamed itself Atari)….. Coleco (console manufacturer) (defunct)……. Compedia…… Crystal Dynamics (subsidiary)……. Enix (merged with Squaresoft as Square Enix)……. Epyx….. Gathering of Developers (GOD) (Bought by Take-Two Interactive)…. Gremlin Interactive…. GT Interactive…. Hasbro Interactive (acquired by Infogrames) …. Iguana Entertainment….. Infocom (acquired by Activision) ….. Imagic…. Interceptor Micros…. Mattel Electronics (console manufacturer)…. Mattel (computer software)…. Maxis (acquired by Electronic Arts) …. Melbourne House (computer games and books)….. Microprose (acquired by Hasbro Interactive) ….. Mindscape, Inc..... MUSE Software….. Origin Systems (acquired by Electronic Arts)….. Penguin Software…. Psygnosis….. Spectrum Holobyte (acquired by Hasbro Interactive) ….. Square Electronic Arts L.L.C. (Owned by Square and Electronic Arts. Folded back into Square Soft, Inc. and changed to Square Enix, Inc.)… Strategic Simulations, Inc. ("SSI")…. Technos Japan Corporation (defunct) (assets acquired by Atlus)….. US Gold (acquired by Eidos Interactive)…. Virgin Interactive Entertainment…… And now for the top 20 video game publishers, ranked by Game Developer in October 2007……. This has nothing to do with revenue, or s&p rankings, they are simply judged where quality, innovation, productivity, entertainment value, employee satisfaction, etc…. type of things are concerned.. #1 – Nintendo, #2 – Electronic Arts #3 Activision, #4 Ubisoft, #5 THQ, #6 Take – Two Interactive, #7 Sega Sammy Holdings/Sega of America, #8 Sony Computer Entertainment, #9 Microsoft Game Studios, #10 Sci/Eidos Interactive, #11 Square Enix, #12 Namco Bandai, #13 Vivendi Games, #14 Capcom, #15 Konami, #16 NCSoft, #17 Buena Vista Games, #18 Atlus USA, #19 Lucas Arts, #20 Midway Games (as in the former Midway Bally consortium, Bally has a successful line of electronic slot machines) But the facts of the matters are; There are hundreds of ‘game publishers’ scattered around the globe, in business one day, and out of business the next, who can really keep track except I suppose the stock holders that either won or lost on those ventures. Now we harness this consideration to Oreck…. It is not out of business, but it surely is going to leave Louisiana…… And meanwhile the taxpayers are providing some $14 million in benefits and told that “The state hopes to see a return in 5 years”…….. and perhaps EA will be here tommorrow, and gone within 3 years after that, who knows? Does anyone really care? Piyush's 'One time' spending policy, or dislike of NGO funding? I believe him to be a hypocrite... As many of us are, so he doesn't have the patent on the subject.. And meanwhile the government is taxing us, and making us promises, and not delivering on the goods, or the promises, and are actually stealing from us and when it all comes down for the count, we have wonderful ‘non controversial’ ‘non confrontational’ folks like Piyush, er uh…….. Little Bobby Brady,, cough, cough, cough, uhhhh,,,, Bobby Jindal……… Aheeeemmm… GOVERNOR BOBBY JINDAL OF LOUISIANA……. pulling more than just some of those strings as we are manipulated like puppets with the media holding another handful of those strings in their hands also……. State sponsored media propaganda can move the world…… And generally to an unfortunate demise or lessening of values or quality of life…… Written by
