Meanwhile, others are linking President Bush to John McCain as McCain is trying to link Barack Obama to Bill Ayers.
Bayoubuzz has just received the following press release:
National Bush Legacy Bus Tour Comes to Baton Rouge and New Orleans
45-foot, 28-ton Museum on Wheels Features Interactive Exhibits on How Disastrous Bush/Conservative Policies - Embraced by Sen. John McCain - Have Harmed Our National Security, Ruined the Economy, Led to the Tragic Response to Hurricane Katrina, Threatened Our Social Security, and Sacrificed Key Domestic Priorities
Meanwhile, yesterday, the crescendo increased as McCain has raised questions about any linkage of Obama to Bill Ayres and McCain wrote the following, “Our ticket has a plan to strengthen the economy, keep homeowners in their homes, lighten your tax burden and reduce our dependency on foreign oil. The Obama-Biden Democrats will raise your taxes, increase our dependency on foreign oil and take our country down a dangerous path.”
Yesterday, both Biden and Obama called McCain erratic and are also calling him “dangerous”.
Your last concern on your recent post KPF was very profound… And it is one of the core roots of the problems being experienced… Time and time again…. To flush out the chameleons is very important, and to be able to do so one first must be able to identify the chameleon for what it truly is……. “Public Servants” come in 3 primary forms…… Those that are elected to their respective positions, those that are ‘installed’ in their respective positions, and those that are ‘hired’ to serve in their respective positions……. And after that you have support roles from the private sector that provide goods or services to help support the aforementioned functions and duties to the society for which they were instituted or implemented for…….. And on the flip side of the coin you have the welfare factions….. I am not interested in splitting hairs in trying to differentiate the segments be it Social Security, food stamps, assisted housing/living, or businesses that exist either as a for profit, not for profit/nonprofit, or volunteer agency that support government or ‘perceived’ societal needs. Requisition is the key word here…….. And a lack of work or something to do is another for some in our society is another subject……. Or a trade off in value for goods or services rendered…… A parasitic relationship so to say…. One has to define what the economy truly is……… Building section 8 housing, providing universal healthcare, head start programs, etc., etc., etc. is not an economy, it is a burden to society……. Not saying those are ‘bad’ but I am saying that more often than not they do become a drain due to criminality that becomes endemic, or a resources drain, and/or societal/values drain……. There is nothing wrong with being poor, as in, being simple, not desiring more than what is necessary or reasonably construed as proper….. And there is definitely something wrong with not having enough to eat, decent living conditions, lack of education or the ability to approach a better education, and ultimately, a lack of joy that is possible in stable environs………… It is Imperative that the costs in certain support sectors be reduced…….. Prudence is the key to dealing with the “Social-welfare” syndrome, it is a 6% suck on our economy, and it ultimately affects an additional 15 – 35% of productivity – scale of economy – affordability and overall peace and harmony in our land………. It is the ignorant “in our face” attitude that is being thrust upon the majority that is so disruptive……….. There are thousands upon thousands of cures and implementations that can be initiated to address the need, or lack concerns….. But an even larger segment of our population is on the ‘suck’ and implementations are very difficult to arrive upon without someone jumping up and becoming offended to the extent that nothing is done on the subjects at hand….. It is the arguments at large that need to be addressed and scalability standards decided upon……………. Stand for nothing, fall for anything…. I am done with politically correct, and no recourse to the public servants that are supposed to be there for our benefit, and no as in zero recourse to the law in an expedient fashion that can cause positive procedures into fruition……. Something has to go, change, get fixed, and a lot of it and that right now…….. I am tired of social intimidation by the few rained down upon the many……………………………………. The false speeches, erroneous approaches, detrimental implementations………………… It is going to take a big stick, and not so soft talk………. The propaganda factors at work are almost overwhelming……… Watching CNN makes me want to gag, and folks are eating it up like gospel……….. Even this Bayou Buzz bored is a disappointing medium………. But look it has for ‘columnists’ - ‘opinionated editorial contributors’…. In the long run, it appears that the children are the victims as they become tomorrow’s adults and leaders…… And these chameleons hide behind them and use them as ‘human shields’ as they perpetuate their false agendas… We need a purge here in America…. Not a “Can’t we all just get along?” mentality…….. And racialphobiacs that are trying to counter the social phobias that are occurring………. And they are at the root of the problem….. Written by

Moderate Independent Voice, I believe there are forces at work (personal choices, the market, technology) that are beyond government control and therefore beyond government solutions. Most people in this country start their adult lives with little that is not "hand me downs" from their family. They work (and "keep working") until they get promotions/better jobs and over time move from the bottom 20% to a higher income level. This natural order of an individual’s lifetime earnings - while leading to a society which has an "income gap" - is a gap that is narrowed over time. On the other hand, some people will make poor lifestyle choices (excessive drinking, drug-taking, etc) and will be poor and in the bottom 20% of wage earners their entire life. An unintended consequence of welfare is that it provides an option for those who wish to live a life that is primarily drinking and doing drugs (don't waste your time calling me “racist” as the "examples" I have in mind are all within my family, “honkeys” in other words). This is a large part of our permanent underclass problem as I have seen my relatives' children drop out, do drugs, etc. - basically following in their parents footsteps. Economics CANNOT be controlled by legislative decree (unfortunately). The skills we needed 100 years ago to be productive (i.e. "wanted") workers no longer apply. Our teaching institutions and we need to evolve to provide business with workers who possess the skills needed in today's marketplace. There is a balance between needed regulations and allowing the market to work. Too much or too little interference in the market by government can lead to disaster. A lesson we as a species seem to need to relearn again and again. As far as the "greed at the top" goes, I would be far more concerned about how these Wall Street robber barons influence those who are supposed to be "our public servants" than what their salaries may be. God, abundance, lack, war……………………… I know of only two entities that have lain their lives down for me…. The American Service Man….. and Jesus Christ……….. And it is only through the sacrifices of the American Service Man that I have been allowed to enjoy a certain level of liberty and freedom that hundreds upon hundreds upon hundreds of millions if not billions and billions before me never got the opportunity to experience…… And throughout history millions upon millions if not billions of people have tried to live forever, and every one of them died trying…… I know only this…… Jesus said he had a father in heaven, who is almighty God, and therefore that is the only God I am aware of……. But it is also true that there are other forms that people erroneously worship, and they generally take the form of; Lust (luxuria), Gluttony (gula), Greed (avaritia), Sloth (acedia), Wrath (ira), Envy (invidia), Pride (superbia)…………… And that is why greed, lack, abundance, morals, values, generosity, and war among other things seem so misunderstood or even insurmountable at times…… I would have to say that the so-called ‘least of the sins’ is now a major component in the effects that we are experiencing on an extremely large scale…… And that would be acedia……………… Without overcoming this major stumbling block, chastity, temperance, charity, diligence, patience, kindness, and humility will become rarer and rarer as time goes by. Those are great points. We DO want overall progress. The macro demand for goods and services is the driving force pulling the economy and also the desire to make the extra dollar benefits society in terms of improved goods and services. Nonetheless, the very word "greed" carries connotations of excess, which is not a positive. Like it or not, income distribution is an issue in today's U.S. Our country and our economy is healthiest with a strong and vibrant middle class whose children can have real hope for a high quality of life of their own. We've got to concede the fact that what's been going on has been an increase of the gap between the very rich and the rest of us and greater and greater strain on and less and less opportunity for the middle or working class. There is this issue of "excess" in our world, no doubt about it. Many of these right wing adherents seem to feel, somehow, that the excess which is the worse sin and the worse problem is what's been happening in the community of the poorer people. There seems to be this notion that the poor would not be poor if they did not somehow deserve to be poor and also that the wealthy would not be wealthy if they had not earned their wealth. I say that I rather highly doubt that someone who's not poor would really want to trade places with a poor person -- but the "greed factor" kicks in, thus "I've got mine and you keep your dirty paws off of it..." is the mindset, which loses sight of how many more of the poor that are honest and decent and trying to do the right thing given their situation there are than there are welfare cheaters, etc. -- and also that if there were not so much excess at the top the rest of us might well have more reason to have more hope. An income distribution gap is truly ominous inasmuch as such a phenomenon has historically marked the downfall of every great society or empire throughout history. Bottom line: we can either voluntarily place a curb on our excess or else it's likely that we will be forced to curb it. Written by Moderate Independent Voice

And as an afterthought Mr. Robert Desmarais Sullivan, not intending to slight you, but I would like to pose the question; "What good would your keyboard be if it weren't for greed?" It would, as you know, be nonexistent, much in the same fashion as the illusionary cyberspace that so many dollars have been poured into in order to cause it into fruition..... Greed is sometimes the positive inertia transfered to the back of the wagon in order to make the wheels go round when there is no mule present to pull the load...... Written by

There's nothing stopping anyone from having God in their lives, whatever their definition of God happens to be (for many if not most of us the major deity=money). That's the greatness of this country. You are perfectly free to have your own God, and as much as you like, or none at all. Who would want to have it any other way? And as a little bit of trivia tidbit for you T-Dub the following: In December 1776, the Marines were tasked to join Washington's army at Trenton to slow the progress of British troops southward through New Jersey. Unsure what to do with the Marines, Washington added the Marines to a brigade of Philadelphia militia, also dressed in green. Captain Mullan's roster lists two black men, Issac and Orange, the first recorded black Marines. Though they were unable to arrive in time to affect the battle of Trenton, they assisted in the decisive American victory at Princeton........ So perhaps in a way it is due to Marines, and black folks that educational institutions could flourish............. And of course John Witherspoon was protected, and able to sign the declaration of Independance, but on a footnote that many people do not know of, the Immortal 11.......... Ah yes, time and time again, throughout history................ A call to service... Written by

Well, I guess that is where John Adams made his mistake, because in 1805 when Marines were dispatched to Tripoli, we prayed to God, and Jesus on more than one occaisson while killing those pirate hordes...... In fact, it is funny, but one of my 'distantly connected' ancestors so wanted a duel with John Adams that he foamed at the mouth when calling it out..... He considered John Adams to be quite the misquided little tyrant..... A dictator wanna-be..... Imagine, dualling with flintlock pistols at 20 paces! Now that is a way to settle something once and for all if you ask me.... But I hear you Mr. Sullivan, and I choose to follow the Rose, and the path taken so many many generations ago...... It's in my history, oh well, It was good enough for them, and in part, good enough for me, even though I do tend to have a stronger leanings towards the great spirit my ownself.... It is sort of in my genes as well...... Ahhhh that DNA, it is some crazy crazy stuff...... 1014 A.D. Written by

When I pray, I pray to the Great Spirit who is more powerful than all and who created the cosmos. I am certain that my Great Spirit is an idea, or intellectual image, which is different from the one imagined in the expressions 'In God we Trust' or 'God bless America' and certainly different from the one in the expression 'God hates fags'. When I read the Founding Fathers of the United States, I find that my image corresponds more or less with theirs. The Declaration of Independence speaks of 'Nature and Nature's God' without specifying what God may be like and definitely without mentioning Jesus Christ. In the Constitution, there is no mention of God at all, and the only mention of religion is in the First Amendment prohibition of a state church. And President John Adams signed the Treaty of Tripoli in 1797, which states, 'the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion'. So I conclude it is impossible to say that the United States was founded as a Christian nation. Furthermore, I do not want it to be a Christian nation. I prefer the Founding Fathers' original idea of a secular state, in which citizens are free to follow our own spirituality and form our own religions. I don't think the difficulties of the US are due to the absence of the word God from public discourse. I think the difficulties of the US are due to the same old vices that human beings have always cultivated: An insatiable lust for power over others, and a bottomless pit of greed for wealth far beyond what is required for a happy life. America is a great country.
it is composed by different people from different nationalities.
At one time when our forefathers wrote the constitution they included God and believed in God.
when America followed the written constitution, it was blessed because we not only pledged to our flag, we also pledged to God.
we and our government are slowly excluding God almost in every part of our lives. like the schools, courts, businesses, homes, and on and on.........
never before was it commen for the younger generation to be so disrespectful and be so corrupted. by taking God out of our lives we are inviting evil to come into our lives and our nation. could this be the reason AMERICA is going to pay for all the evil we have caused other nationalities. ever sense we landed here in America killing off the native people for their land. then kidnapping the blacks forcing them into slavery to say the least, then over the years we got other people from other nationalities to do our dirty work. yet after all of these people put food on our tables, we bite the hand that feeds us. is this really us???
What's going on?
have we given all power to our government.
is our government now for the government and NOT for the people but for the government.
do we the people need to take back the power from them or ?
is our government manipulating us and is turning us into evil persons.
is it making us think we are being invaded by others. when our own president is
the ring leader to our fall.
who is the government making you believe to blame for their own doings???
don't blame the innocent, for 1, we don't even know half of what really goes on in our president's mind.
if your going to blame the innocent, for once just blame the person in your mirror. or do you think your better than everybody else????
if so, your a fooooool.
everyone wants to blame someone but no one is willing to do the right thing for our Great America.
and i say, if you want a bail out, Put God back into our lives and this Nation, and into our
America so it can be a great AMERICA.
