Based upon the recent Southern Media and Opinion Research (SMOR) poll announced Monday, Louisiana is a different place than it was only weeks ago.

Governor Bobby Jindal’s negatives shot up from seven to 36 prtcent.  According to Bernie Pinsonat of SMOR, “I have never seen any Governor fall so far, so fast than Jindal”.  His favorables went from 77% to 59%.

“He has used up his green stamps with the public and the legislature and will face a tough re-election”, said Pinsonat.

Jindal is not the only one meeting the ire of the public.  Eighty-eight percent of the public disagreed with the pay raise.

According to Pinsonat, the legislature and Jindal used up the good will they had from the first two sessions.  Plus Pinsonat feels that the Administration and legislature spent one billion dollars more than Governor Blanco and so the public is angry about that.  “They accused Blanco of spending like a drunken sailor and now they did the same when they took office.

Based upon the poll, the most popular statewide public officials appear to be Mary Landrieu and John Kennedy.  Both have an overall favorable percentage of 61 percent.  However, she is leading her US Senate opponent by 45.8 to 40.3.  Pinsonat also said that Landrieu has to separate herself from Barack Obama who has “no chance of winning Louisiana”.

Also, David Vitter recorded a favorable of 55 percent but Pinsonat feels that those numbers will come down once he runs for re-election.

Interesting, small number of younger voters. I would suggest that Piss ant is not polling the actual probable breakout of voters this year. He probably had Edwards winning the Democratic party..... Barrack has a very good chance in November in LA. Younger voters are not the tired ignorant hypocrits that those over 30 are. They also don't blindly worship the invisible man in the sky who speaks through their tired pastors and priests.. This poll is a joke.

The 20% that agreed with Pi is a portion of the 28% of the state that elected him into the office, i.e. State Workers, Academic affiliates, etc…………………..
