The James O'Keefe arrest after his entry and possible escapade involving Senator Landrieu's telephones is now heating up into a political battle as I have predicted. Below is a letter just sent by Republican Chair Roger Villere to Buddy Leach, who might be the incoming chairman of the Louisiana Democratic Party. Villere is asking for punitive measures against current interim Democratic Chair, Michael McHale. The Villere letter relates to the communications coming from McHale associated with Republicans and US Senator David Vitter. Also, below is the latest comment from McHale. Villere did not forward the attachments he sent to Leach.
Chairman Villere Responds To Louisiana Dems Smear Campaign
Today, Republican Party of Louisiana Chairman Roger F. Villere, Jr. sent the following letter to the presumed frontrunner for the chairmanship of the Louisiana Democratic Party and called him to ask for the immediate resignation of his party's interim chairman and his apology for his irresponsible and malicious comments:
VIA FACSIMILE AND US MAIL/IMMEDIATE ATTENTION REQUESTED
Buddy Leach
Louisiana Democratic Party

Dear Mr. Leach:
I bring this matter to your attention as it is presumed in most political circles that you will assume the chairmanship of the Louisiana Democratic Party at tomorrow’s Democrat State Central Committee Meeting.
In the last few days, your predecessor Michael McHale has attempted to allege that Republicans and Senator David Vitter were part of an effort to tamper with the phone system at Senator Mary Landrieu’s office in New Orleans. (Attachments 1-4)
These claims are both completely false and completely unsupported by any facts or evidence whatsoever. Therefore, to make such a public claim is irresponsible, malicious, and a disservice to the voters of our state.
While what appears to have happened this week is unfortunate, Republicans and Democrats alike have stated their support for legal process being allowed to play itself out so that justice may be served.
Even Senator Mary Landrieu has applauded the reaction by members of our party by saying that she was “proud” of the Republican response. (Attachment 5)
There will be many times you and I will likely disagree during this election cycle and we should engage on those issues most important to our state. But these debates should be on issues of substance and not the blatant lies that we have seen this week.
As an aside, it is a sad testament to the state of our politics and an indication of your party’s flailing desperation that party officials have stooped to such dubious and libelous behavior.
Because of the irresponsible and malicious nature of the comments by your party’s interim chairman, I demand that upon your election as Chairman of the Democratic Party of Louisiana, you immediately ask for Mr. McHale’s resignation from the Democratic State Central Committee and that you personally apologize for his recent actions as interim chairman.
I look forward to hearing your response.
Louisiana Watergate
Dear Steve,
By now I'm sure you have heard that four Republican political operatives were arrested earlier this week attempting to tamper with the phone system in Senator Mary Landrieu's New Orleans' office.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the Republicans have to resort to breaking the law to push their agenda of doing the bidding for special interests, standing up for Wall Street fat cats and abandoning the middle class. But I have to tell you - I am amazed that they would sink this low.
The only way to combat these Republican dirty tricks is with constant viligance and by aggressively exposing their lies and criminal behavior. That's why we need your help.
Already, the supporters of these four Republican political operatives are trying to explain away their actions. The truth is simple: these four grown men broke the law to further their twisted political agenda.
We're not going to let them get away with this. If you will stand with us, the Louisiana Democratic Party will make sure there is a thorough investigation and that those who broke the law are prosecuted to the fullest extent.
Unfortunately David Vitter and other Louisiana Republicans with ties to these four political operatives are refusing to answer some basic questions.
Did David Vitter, his staff or anyone asociated with the Louisiana Republican Party have any communication with these four politcal operatives or did they have any advance knowledge of their actions?
GOSH! O'Keefe and Vitter - oh my! O'Keefe and Vitter - oh my! O'Keefe and Vitter - oh my! I think I'll just click on the link and donate money to the Democratic Party. No .... wait. The Democratic Party and Barak Obama are already taking more money from working Americans, their children and grandchildren than any other administration in our country's history. I guess they can do without any voluntary contributions from me, my involuntary contributions are already enough to have me seeing red. Written by
