The Dallas Mavericks took it to the New Orleans Hornets on Friday making it impossible for the Hornets to sweep the series and more importantly, tightening the series 2-1 with a Mavericks 97-87.
Dirk Norwitzki scored 32 points for the Mavs and Chris Paul who has been hot during the first two games only shot 4 of 18 field goals from the field.David West of the Hornets was 6 for 20.
The Hornets’ coach, Byron Scott said that the Mavericks came out with a 7th game and the Hornets came out with a 3rd game mentality.
Statistically, the teams matched up in performance but one of the major differences was the field goal misses by Hornets stars, Paul and West.
