New Orleans, Louisiana--The New Orleans Hornets moved onto the next playoff loft as they defeated the Dallas Mavericks 99-94 with superstar Chris Paul scoring his second triple double of the year.
The Hornets beat the Mavs 4-1 in the series having won three games at home and one on the road.
Paul scored 24 points, had 15 assists and collected 11 rebounds.
The game was extra special as the Hornets’ coach Byron Scott was awarded and honored
with the Coach of the Year.
The Hornets took the lead 2-0 after two wins in New Orleans and then split the next two in Dallas before winning the final contest in New Orleans.
The victory for New Orleans moves them to the Western Conference Semifinals.
