Despite a strong show by the New Orleans Hornets’ David West and Chris Paul, the Spurs’ Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker both scored 31 points and stole the show allowing the San Antonio to get back into the second round of the NBA Western Conference Playoffs, by beating the New Orleans basketball team, 110-99.The Hornets now lead 2-1 in the series with each team winning their home games.
Game 4 is set for Sunday in San Antonio.
After the third quarter, the Spurs led by five but a jumper by David West pushed the Hornets closer by two points.At that point the Spurs came alive.A combination of Tony Parker, Tim Duncan, Bruce Bowen caught the Hornets looking the other way.
The Spurs coasted from there with and Duncan adding 16.
New Orleans was led by 35 from Chris Paul and 23 from David West.
To repeat its performance from the first round, the Hornets will need to win Sunday and then take the next home game.The Hornets beat the Dallas Mavericks in five games, 4-1.
