I hope you enjoyed your week as much as I did. It was once again a busy one, especially with opening of the Opera Season with Tosca, which I enjoyed tremendously, the release of the John Besh book at Restaurant August, the release of George Rodrigue’s book at Borders, the opening of the New Orleans Film Festival, Domingo Latino at City Park, as well as the huge celebration of 40 years of excellence for the Royal Sonesta Hotel. I was looking forward to participating in the Carnival Latino's parade but because of the weather, it was cancelled.
In between listing houses and showing apartments for lease, I took it easy because I knew that this week is going to be very busy with my Round Table Luncheon on Wednesday, Red White and Blues at City Park, the JPAS Pasta and Puccini Gala, Vino on the Bayou, Marigny Walking Tour, Ogden’s “O What a Night” and the Yo-Yo Ma concert which is sold out and for which I am on the waiting list.
And let’s not forget Oktoberfest going on every weekend for the rest of the month at Deutsches Haus. If plans go through for the hospital complex in that area, it could be the last Oktoberfest in that old, historical building at Galvez and Canal. Try to get out there and show your support for our great German community and heritage!
I want to share this news:
