The San Antonio Spurs finished off the New Orleans Hornets’ miracle year by beating the Hornets 91-82 in the New Orleans Arena.

The victory for the World Champion Spurs allows them to play the Los Angeles Lakers for the Western Conference Championship.

The loss was the first time during the playoff season that the Hornets lost at home.  The Spurs finished the series with a 4-3 advantage.

The Hornets came within three points late in the fourth quarter but were unable to maintain the momentum.  The major difference between the Spurs and the Hornets was the poor shooting by New Orleans in the third quarter.
