“We've also located 5 prostitutes in Louisiana where they have all alleged that they have had sexual contact with him as well," Larry Flynt, Publisher of Hustler Magazine, July 11, 2007
Yesterday was not a good day for the missing in action U.S. Senator David Vitter (R-LA), as troubling news was revealed. In the afternoon, Larry Flynt of Hustler Magazine held a news conference and said that he located five prostitutes in Louisiana who have alleged sexual contact with Vitter. As a result, these individuals will be splitting the $1 million reward money that Flynt offered for information exposing illicit affairs by members of Congress.
After the D.C. Madam released the phone records of her escort service, investigators for Larry Flynt located David Vitter’s number on her list. When Flynt’s team called Vitter to challenge him about the phone call, the Senator quickly convened a staff meeting via phone conference, sent out a brief news release and then disappeared. According to Flynt, “We called him for comment, and he left through the back door.”
Where is David Vitter hiding? Since Monday, Vitter has been absent and out of the limelight as this scandal deepens. During this time, he has missed important votes in the U.S. Senate and also refused to give an accounting to the constituents that he serves. Vitter says that he has confessed to God and his wife and offered a general apology to others, but he has not given a full report on his misdeeds. It is time for David Vitter to come forward and answer these charges and respond to those who are calling for his resignation.
Along with Flynt’s new charges, the Times Picayune uncovered that David Vitter had called the D.C. Madam at least five times between 1999 and 2001, as his phone number was discovered on her voluminous call list. However, this finding does not mean that Vitter did not call the service more times from a different location, such as a friend’s house, an unregistered phone, a phone from an undisclosed location or possibly even a phone from a hotel room
Five New Orleans prostitutes, five calls to the D.C. Madam equal five times the trouble for Vitter. In both New Orleans and WashingtonD.C., it is quite possible that David Vitter committed a crime by soliciting a prostitute; however, the statue of limitations means that he will likely not be prosecuted in either place. In WashingtonD.C., charges must be filed within three years, while in Louisiana charges must be made within three years of an alleged crime.
Although he may be not be prosecuted, he may be called to testify in the trial of the D.C. madam and be compelled to identify the type of services he received from the escort service. This will not only be embarrassing, but also quite revealing. The whole world will learn how much Vitter paid for the services, how many times he visited with the escorts and what types of activities were involved.
For Louisiana, a state with a long history of political corruption and embarrassing transgressions by hypocritical politicians, the revelations about David Vitter are not particularly surprising, as we are used to our elected officials letting us down. My only question is when are we going to elect leaders that don’t get investigated, indicted, convicted or exposed by people like Larry Flynt?

So Vitter can use being a Christian when wants to,like in saying how immoral gay marriage is.This must make God so proud of how the Christians use his words instead of following his words.

Concerns about the personal life of a politician should be pretty low on the list of priorities for any citizen of Louisiana: dreadfully poor education system, poor economy, dysfunction local and state government are of much greater concern.

Jeff...Larry F. now says 30 members of Congress are on the list. He is, as is Vic Bruno, a "has been" trying to stay in the limelight. As far as Vitter, I do not condone what he did. However, I do not judge. It is bet/w him,his family and God.
Through the years, I've noticed those who gloat over the fall of someone else will eventually face a fall. Then, you and Vic will remmeber the words of Jesus: "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy."
As an imperfect HUMAN, I need mercy everyday and therefore I try to give mercy.

It is a fact that this guy has been involved in this type of activity for a while, as reported earlier a reporter name tidmore and sheriff harry lee knew of his dealings with prostitution but were rebuffed.

David Vitter, while having done some good for Louisiana is the ultimate hypocrite and for that reason he needs to 'fess up. We need a real answer, not an "honorable explanation when the time is right." (We've already got that)
We will continue to elect these types of politicians until we have an educational system that actually teaches both academics and life's values, because the current crop of Louisiana residents apparently have not passed on those values to their children of voting age.

How do you know he was calling for himself? He might have been calling for a friend that didn't have a telephone or maybe he thought he was phoning in to a Chineese take out service. Or maybe he was calling for Governor Blanco, and that was a number that was given to him to call.

I think folks are right to doubt the credibility of the "Canal St. Madam" and Larry Flynt's claim of five La. prostitutes. But look at the phone records. The first call, from the "escort service" to Mr. Vitter lasted less than 30 seconds. That's barely enough time to say, "Dave, just calling to confirm that Wendy will be paying you a visit tomorrow night as scheduled. Have a good time." In other words, it doesn't seem like there was much to discuss or debate. Like a couple of old pros, they cut straight to the chase and said what needed to be said. No first time jitters, no wrestling with the conscience, none of the hesitation that you'd expect from someone who'd never crossed that line and was feeling guilty about embarking on this "sinful" path. The average time for each call was about two minutes. It takes most guys more than that getting up the nerve to ask a girl to dinner and a movie.

If this black book is so bad, lets wait and see if Clinton's name is on it, and or some Democrats. Its only fair, right?
If we see a one time ordeal, that's ok, but if it is true to be numerous encounters with 5 or 6 women, then that is a seriuos problem, sorry.

O tempora, o mores!
Let's give the man a break. So he likes whores. So what?
As a writer for NOLAFugees.com writes:
"Most politicians worth their salt like whores. Whores give them a certain confidence that makes their jobs easier. Likewise, most whores worth their salt like politicians. Politicians give them a certain confidence that makes their jobs easier. That one’s job bears a great resemblance to the other’s only further greases the gears. In was an easy, obvious match made long ago in a land far more civilized than this."
While overgeneralized (for humor), there may be something to this.
