Suddenly, Louisiana US Senator David Vitter, who appeared to be a rising star with his national television exposure opposing immigration reform, might be facing some “reforming” of his own.
Jeanette Maier, best known as the New Orleans Canal Street Madam, who ran a famous brothel and who achieved national recognition has stated Tuesday that David Vitter had been one of the establishment’s customers since the mid-1990’s.
That revelation comes on the heals of Vitter’s allegedly “being outed” by Larry Flynt of Hustler Magazine for being a customer of the D.C. Madam’s network.
On Monday, it was disclosed that Vitter’s telephone number appeared on a list belonging to Deborah Jeane Palfrey (or the now infamous “D.C. Madam” who is facing racketeering charges associated with a prostitution ring).According to news reports, Larry Flint of Hustler takes credit for outing Vitter.
On Monday, Vitter issued an apology, however, he has not issued any other statements since the D.C. Madam revelation nor has he issued any statement since Maier’s claim that he had been a customer of her establishment.
Vitter had been rumored to be a Vice-President Candidate possibility should Rudy Giuliani win the Presidential nomination.
Thank you.I am not the best with words sometimes, but I really believe we need what's best for Louisiana right now, instead of what is best for either party.

Susan, you are right and although I often do disagree with your comments, I have much respect for what you are saying.
I would like to see a new election for Senator. I don't necessarily think it would be a democrat that would win. I would myself vote for the best person to help our state.
I think David Vitter has really divided people in this state. He may have been popular with most, but he was very unpopluar with a significant minority who love Louisiana as much as anyone. We need a consensus builder to get things done even if they are not politically correct with the extreme right or left wings.
