To American liberals and foreigners who hate America, President Barack Obama can do no wrong. They view him as more than a President, he is seen as a deity. In fact, one liberal caller to my radio show today (Ringside WGSO 990 AM 7-11 a.m. weekdays), said Obama is like a modern day Jesus. Such hyperbole is amazing and infectious and has obviously warped the thinking of the news media, liberal activists, Democratic Party leaders and now the Nobel Prize committee. All have become infected with a powerful strain of Obama-mania.
Today, President Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for no good reason except for his racial heritage. The committee made their decision based on what he had accomplished prior to February 1, 2009. In his first 11 days in office, Obama barely had time to find the White House bathroom. Of course, during that time he had no significant accomplishments and after nine months we are still waiting for him to deliver anything of substance except for more government spending and more executive power.
For those who hate America, Obama is the perfect President. He apologizes for this country constantly and breaks bread with dictators who threaten this country. He wants to establish dialogue with enemies of this country and obviously the committee supports this effort.
The committee must not care that Obama has not delivered on his many promises. On his first day in office, he pledged to close the Guantanamo Bay detention facility because he was worried about the image of this nation. Never mind that it is still open and has served a valuable purpose, to keep terrorists from killing innocent Americans. Obama has been unable to make a decision on the Afghanistan war and our troops are still in Iraq, despite his campaign promises to the contrary.
This Nobel Prize committee has a distinct liberal agenda. Of course, they would have never given the award to a Republican. In fact, the last Republican President to receive the award was Theodore Roosevelt in 1909. Since that time, Democratic Presidents Woodrow Wilson and Jimmy Carter have received the award, as well as global warming fanatic and former Democratic Vice President Al Gore. Jimmy Carter received the award in 2002, even though he failed as a President in every measure from the economy to conduct of foreign affairs. The committee also awarded the prize to Al Gore for his efforts to reduce global warming. Yet, this whole effort is a hoax that has been exposed by thousands of reputable scientists.
During this entire time, the Nobel Prize committee overlooked Republican Presidents Dwight Eisenhower who ended the Korean War, Richard Nixon who ended the Vietnam War and Ronald Reagan who ended the Cold War. It is clear this committee is biased against Republicans and especially conservatives.
The liberal agenda of Carter, Gore and Obama fits in nicely with the Nobel Prize committee. For Obama to receive the award after only eleven days in office is truly one of the biggest jokes in the history of this award, ranking right there with the 1940 award being given to Neville Chamberlain and this honor being bestowed on Palestinian terrorist Yasser Arafat.
In the award citation, the committee noted that “very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world's attention and given its people hope for a better future." This clearly shows that like so much of the world, this committee is smitten with Obama and his celebrity status.
The recognition is an affront to the many deserving nominees who were overlooked, the real freedom fighters who actually fought against oppression. It also diminishes the value of the award and the reputation of the prize committee. This group is not some august body of deliberative thinkers who vigorously examine the qualifications of nominees; they are, in reality, just a bunch of wacky liberal kool-aid drinkers.

I love Louisiana, it is our home, but we are also in a world that the USA has managed to destroy and exploit with the American Interests First Policy. So what the Nobel comittee recognized was that for once here was a Guy who was going to consider the rest of the world as having a value other than one to exploit for capital gain. I have travelled around the world and lived in many countries so I know what the US has been doing, what they show on CNN is the gloss, the dirt of putting American interests first is very very ugly, and trust me, millions and I mean millions have died, or been deeply disadvantaged because of this. Look at Nigeria, American Oil interests have devastated the lives of millions, and propped up tip put leaders who take constant kick backs. the world has inadvertently become Americas back yard which is used to prop up a firt world economy. Annual CO2 emmissions (not counting people, this is from other stuff like cars, industry, and excludes cows and pigs) by the United States in thousands of metric tons is around 5,752,289…. Our population exhales around 115 billion pounds of CO2, or around 57 million tons of CO2 by breathing….. Not much at all when compared to the rest of the world either from a breathing or a working/producing standpoint..... I really don’t think we need to pay too much attention to the Goreaphobia or the validity of Nobel Peace Prizes anymore… Especially when it means us (who produce very little CO2 in comparison) having to give up or do without more so other countries can continue on overpopulating and overconsuming……… We aren’t greedy, we just want our fair share of what it is we developed in the first place….. Other reasons that President Obama has proven his worthiness are listed herein. For those of you who are not familiar with his accomplishments, you have been drinking too much of Fox 57 News Brew. Here are only a few of President Obama’s major achievements after a mere 8 months in office.
Pulled the economy back from the brink of depression. Example: continued President Bush’s bank bail out program.
Begun the process of reforming health care in this country.
Signed the Lily Ledbetter fair pay law that finally gives parity to women in employment.
Expanded the SCHIP children’s health program
Begun funding embryonic stem cell research.
Saved the American car industry.
Begun the closure of Guantanamo Bay.
Begun turning Iraq over to the Iraqis.
Started long overdue work on climate change.
Appointed a Supreme Court justice (woman/Hispanic).
Opened dialogue with countries previously ignored.
Organized meeting with Israeli and Palestenian representatives.
Gained the support of the Russians in the Iran nuclear standoff.
Presided over the United Nations Security Council, the first American president to do so.
Met with the President of Iran, first time in 30 years.
Many of us had hoped he might part the Red Sea and turn water into wine, but maybe that will come in the next 8 months.
The President had tried to let his Democrat congress handle Health Care Reform, but he did not realize how vicious the Republicans and Insurance companies would be in dealing with this crucial issue, and how ineffective would be the Democratic attempt to correct the evils of the insurance industry. The greatest danger to our country at this moment, are our Congressional representatives who will not vote vote for the right type of universal health care for all Americans because it will jeopardize their affiliation, past and present financial contributions from insurance companies, who in the name of greed and profit, are allowing people to die by denying them healthcare coverage that they thought they were paying for. Moreover, these same companies have existing outrageous practices that need to be reined-in.
By the way, if you still think, that we have the best health care in the world, read the World Health Organization’s report. The United States ranks 37 of 39 industrialized countries. That means that per capita, we have more men and women dying of curable diseases than do our big allies…….Canada, France, England. And, don’t think, it cannot happen to someone in your family. It can, and it will.
