President Bush, Democrat Congress Blame Other For Economic Crises

President Bush on Tuesday called on Congress to introduce new measures that would lower food and energy prices, improve the mortgage crisis.  President Bush blamed the Democratic-led Congress for the economy and said that he has asked Congress to help solve the problems.

“On all these issues, the American people are looking to their leaders to come together and act responsibly,” Bush said. “I don’t think this is too much to ask even in an election year.”

“I have asked Congress to do its part by sending me sensible and effective bills that I could sign,” he said. “Instead they’re sending me bills that look like political statements.”

“The words on how to define the economy don’t reflect the anxiety the American people feel,” he said. “The average person doesn’t care what we call it. The average person wants to know whether or not we know hat they’re paying higher gasoline prices, and they’re worried about staying in their homes, and I do understand that.”

Then, the Democrats critized the president listing proposals that Bush had refused.

Energy prices are at the highest rates than ever which is causing a major increase in food prices.  Housing sales are in a slump.

The economy is increasingly becoming a campaign issue with each side blaming one another.

Let me settle your anxities and give you a crash course in economics. What is the ceiling price that will ever be paid for an ounce of gold? The cost required to extract one ton of gold out of one cubic mile of seawater divided by 32,000…. What is the highest price that well be paid for food items? The amount of labor that can be done in a 16 hour day per person in return for 150 calories worth of intake per person. What is the highest price that will be paid for a barrel of oil? The BTU’s that are available in a barrel of oil divided by 150 calories (and perhaps futher divided by 100 or more). What are the only two offsets to those static amounts that can cause the ‘price’ of those items to decline? Either death through malnutrition, or the shedding of blood, but then again those two circumstances are probably interchangable in value. So there you have it…

Crazy thing is, I can provide plan after plan after plan, but the government don't want that, so I guess when it all goes down the crapper, well, I suppose then only the strong will survive.....................
