In the Democratic Party, the race for the White House is getting very nasty. The recent presidential debate was painful to watch as Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama attempted to destroy each other. John Edwards was on the sidelines as the two frontrunners tangled on a host of issues.
One of the issues being debated is the involvement of former President Bill Clinton. Obama is taking exception to the former president’s attack dog role. In recent political events and interviews, Clinton has lambasted Obama’s experience and, in fact, claiming that his political story is one big “fairy tale.”
Throughout this campaign, Obama is facing Hillary and Bill Clinton, as well as their powerful political machine. It is impressive that Obama, a relative political newcomer, is able to stand toe to toe to with the Clintons. Yet, Bill Clinton is being so negative toward Obama that he is actually alienating many Obama supporters and tarnishing his own legacy.
It is rather unbecoming of a former President to be in the political mud, in his own party. Instead of acting above of the fray or being a true statesman, Bill Clinton is playing the role of attack dog for his wife.
This turn of events could very cause Democrats to change their opinion of the former President. In a recent poll, Clinton registered an approval rating of 83% among Democrats. Surely, this rating has fallen, especially among Obama supporters.
The Clinton tag team may stop the Obama bandwagon and prevent him from getting the nomination. However, the price for this partisan campaign may be the reputation of the former President of the United States.

Well, dears, there was not much to do to tarnish an already tarnished reputation. The Clintons have left a trail of tarnish wherever they have been. We do have some admiration for Obama in taking these two on. However, in doing so he may indeed alienate some people. The chances polticians must take. Written by RhettsWife

Bill Clinton might help Hillary get the nomination, but lose the election. Does the country want Bill Clinton as co-president? I think not, and the more they see of him the more damage he does to Hillary. Written by chaubert
