The Internet has collided with politics and you know that YouTube and CNN is using the tube in a textbook of technology, civics and politics.
On Monday, the Democratic candidates for President will be debating but fielding questions from the uploads from YouTube.
Already Barack Obama has shown the power of the Internet by using it as an incredible fundraising machine. As of Friday, there were reportedly over 1,700 questions uploaded to the YouTube site in anticipation for the Democratic debate.
In one respect, this is also proof positive that the youth are plugged into the Presidential election like never before. YouTube is a popular Internet video holding place which attracts a good-sized young audience.
Ironically, it is also proof positive that the Internet has come a long way in Presidential and other election debates—ever since Bob Dole tried telling the television audience to go to his site although it appeared he had no clue what he was saying.
The YouTube crowd will get their shot at the Republicans on September 17.
