Tonight, Hillary Clinton will address the Democratic National Convention in Denver and undoubtedly express her strong support for Barack Obama. This is Hillary’s time in the spotlight; it will be her show tonight. Negotiations between the Clinton and Obama camps produced this prime time speech for Clinton. In return, look for Clinton to ask for her delegates to unanimously support Obama.
During the race for the Democratic nomination, Hillary garnered more votes than Obama, but lost the delegate race. In the process, millions of women voters identified with her campaign and her attempt to break the “glass ceiling.” Despite her historic campaign, Obama did not even consider Clinton as his running mate. Incredibly, Clinton was not even vetted by his VP search team. .
Many of the Clinton faithful are now furious with how Obama treated her once he secured the nomination. He was supposed to help her retire $30 million in campaign debt, but has done very little. In the midst of all of this squabbling, John McCain is doing a very effective job in using Clinton’s own words to hurt the Obama campaign. His campaign is exploiting the real anger that exists over how Clinton has been treated.
Tonight, Clinton will be asked to show her support to a candidate who has mistreated and disrespected her. For the benefit of the Democratic Party, Clinton will undoubtedly say the right things in her speech.
Don’t expect to see Clinton on the campaign trail very often this fall. She will not be an enthusiastic campaigner for Obama. In reality, it benefits her if Obama loses and she is able to run for President in four years against a 76-year old John McCain. Otherwise, she will have to wait eight long years to run again for President, a lifetime for an ambitious politician like Clinton.

Most insightful of you Jeff when you note "He was supposed to help her retire $30 million in campaign debt, but has done very little." It is a familiar tactic incorporated by some........ "Make sure that your adversaries are hobbled, crippled or maimed for life if you cannot out and out have them murdered and get away with it"...... Written by
