Sarah Palin: The Rogue Treatment

Written by: Jeff Crouere

Buzz Right Back----E-Mail a Friend----Print Page

The former Alaska Governor is hitting the talk show circuit pushing her new book, Going Rogue. It is already a blockbuster and will likely break many publishing records. Palin appeared on the Oprah show the other day, giving the liberal talk show host her biggest ratings of the year. In my view, Palin should have boycotted Oprah’s program, since she was such a big booster of Obama in the last election. However, Palin is more magnanimous than her opponents, who continue to insult and belittle her.

The magazine Newsweek placed a photo of Palin in her running shorts on the front cover. According to Governor Palin, it was a sexist and biased attempt to tarnish her. Can anyone imagine the magazine publishers putting such a picture of Barack Obama, John Kerry or Joe Biden on their cover? The Associated Press assigned 11 “fact checkers” to review every word in Palin’s book, looking for mistakes. In the end, they found only a few minor errors, but what is more important is that the AP did not assign any “fact checkers” to investigate content of books from liberal politicians like Obama, Biden or Kerry. It is a blatant double standard for conservatives in general and Sarah Palin in particular.

It is clear that the liberals in the media and in the political world hate Palin with an intensity not seen since Ronald Reagan. Like Reagan, Palin is an articulate conservative who touches millions of voters with her passionate message about personal freedom and limited government. If Palin is such a disaster as a candidate, liberals should be encouraging her to run for President. In contrast, they are working day and night to derail her career.

While they might have hounded her out of the Alaska Governor’s Mansion with a stream of worthless lawsuits and ethics investigations, it will be difficult to shut her down now. Palin has reached a status seen by very few politicians. How many politicians could attract 8,500 people to a book signing in Grand Rapids, Michigan? Palin has more support than any of the other potential presidential candidates, with the possible exception of libertarian superstar Ron Paul. In my view, none of the traditional Republican presidential candidates like Mike Huckabee or Mitt Romney approach the type of enthusiasm and support that Palin receives.

Liberals know that Palin is a unique and powerful political force. They are terrified of her potential to win the White House. If elected, she would be the first true conservative in the Oval Office since Ronald Reagan.

As President, she would undue much of the damage of the Obama years, so watch for more attacks on her credibility and her character. The liberals will get more vicious, but hopefully the American people will see through the smears and understand what is really going on, the attempted political assassination of a rising conservative superstar.

You Sir, are implying that the American public are mainly airheads. What next? Are they lazy? Do they expect others to provide the things they should provide for themselves? Next thing you'll be critical of those they elect to public office. Huh?

Jeff, I love the right up about Sarah Palin. At this point, I really don't know if she would be a great candidate or not. But the democratic party must see something there or they would not be doing everything they can to demoralize her. She seems to be a great lady, and states it like it is.

Sarah Palin the quitter, quits again at her book signing in Noblesville, Indiana. Crowds booed as she quit and refused to sign books for about 300 families. Palin/Jindal for 2012.

Sarah Palim, if nominated, will do for her party and the conservative movement what W. did---lead them over the cliff and destroy the party and the conservative movement---"heckuva legacy" George. If the republicans nominate anyone other than Palin, they will win in a landslide after four year of Obama European-style socialism and far left bankrupting the nation---republicans will carry 35 to 40 states or more. Palin is the most divisive, polarizing figure nationally by far, and her negatives are off the charts. Most people have such a hard and fast "etched in stone" opinion of Palin, there is nowhere to go in the polls. She cannot possibly win independents and moderates who determine elections. Virginia and New Jersey demonstrate that a solid conservative candidates can win independents in overwhelming numbers---they won in Virginia by nearly 20 points--a state Obama carried 12 months earlier. There is not a snowball in hades chance that Palin will ever win moderates and independents in significant numbers. Her Katie Couric interview showed her total lack of grasp on the issues. She can talk about shooting moose all she wants--when asked to name one Supreme Court decision other that Roe vs. Wade, she could not name one--not one single decision. When asked what she thought about the Iraq war, she said "I don't, I never really thought much about it"---Commander-in-Chief??? When asked to name one periodical of any depth that reads on a somewhat regular basis, she couldn't name one. Pawlenty, Huckabee and Romney have a demonstrated grasp of the profound issues of our day---Palin doesn't even come close. I guess if you want a good hunter for pres. or vice-pres, at least Palin shoots moose, not people like Halliburton Cheney. Speaking of which, he and W. didn't "dither" in Afghanistan when they had 30,000 troops in Afghanistan and 177,000 in Iraq did they?? The republicans will commit wholesale suicide and slaughter themselves if they nominate her which will open the door for four more years of far-left socialism. WAKE UP!!!

Grits says, "the attempted political assassination of a rising conservative superstar" (Sarah Palin)........Politically, Sarah dug her own grave-- (she can run- but she can't win). But, she IS a SuperStar, and a rich one almost before she gets started...One beautiful and lucky lady. ( How about her stepping off the tour-bus with her retarded baby AS A PROP?!... Can you spell e-x-p-l-o-i-t?) I love Sarah Palin "the Rock Star"... As somebody said, "She's interesting to watch, not interesting." Keep on sucking the attention from the Republican Party, Sarah, just the way you did in New York...... We'll keep buying your books as long as you keep further dividing the GOP.... Atta Girl!

If you like shallow you'll love Palin. All I see if puff and fluff and superstar superficiality. If this is what the majority of Americans want we're ALL in deep trouble.

While I do not hate Palin as the left obviously does, neither does she excite me very much as a politician. We have better choices, but we as a nation have become so stupid and shallow we need "pretty faces" to elect to public office. I can't imagine this country electing a squeeky-voiced funny-looking man with big ears (Abe Lincoln) as president as he isn't "Hollywood" enough. We'd sooner elect Tom Cruise as president. We really do deserve the government we get.

AND THE BEAT GOES ON,,,,,, AND THE BEAT GOES ON........... - - - - - Army fears anti-Obama politics at Palin event - -- By MIKE BAKER, - - - Associated Press Writer – 19 mins ago - - - RALEIGH, N.C. – The U.S. Army plans to prevent media from covering Sarah Palin's appearance at Fort Bragg, fearing the event will turn into political grandstanding against President Barack Obama, officials said Thursday……….. Fort Bragg spokesman Tom McCollum told The Associated Press that the military post's garrison commander and other Army officials had decided to keep media away from Palin's book signing, which will not include a speech. He said the Army did not want the Monday event to become a platform to express political opinions "directed against the commander in chief."……….. "The main reason is to stop this from turning into a political platform," he said. "There are Army regulations that basically prohibit military reservations from becoming political platforms by politicians."………… - - - - - - SO IF THIS IS TRUE, #1 WHAT DOES ‘PALIN’ HAVE TO DO WITH THE ARMY? #2 WHY IS SHE GOING TO BE ON BASE? ALL SHE IS WAS A GOVERNOR THAT DESERTED HER POST…… AND THAT WAS IN ALASKA, WHICH IS A LOT OF MILES AWAY FROM NORTH CAROLINA........

And here 'record' isn't 'spotty' - - - IT IS QUITE FRANKLY, FULL OF HOLES........ And unfortunately, in today's society and with the current mindset the average person on the street has, yes it is easier to change the spots on that spotted skunk than it is to get rid of the stench.... So, in the end it will be the same old stink, but she will sport 'stripes' instead... Good Gawd Ahmighty we needs some relief!!!

Palin, like Reagan, comes across to the uninitiated as nothing more than a plain-talking, homespun, simplistic (simpleton??) hick. And like Reagan's Eureka College, her Utah, or is it Idaho, sheepskin lacks the heft and prestige of the Eastern Ivys. But anyone who thinks she has not learned the important lessons of life does so at their peril. And not unlike Reagan, she seems to animate people's inner person at a visceral level, whether that person be good or bad, conservative or liberal. The question remaining to be answered is whether she possesses the practical intelligence demonstrated by Reagan in her approach to governing. To date that record is spotty. However the Palin phenomenon is anything but over.

Obama, at this point in time is probably considering, in the same way as Lyndon Johnson did, turning down any bid for re-election in the upcomming elections.... And of course Hillary recently stated, when the question of her running for president was brought up, that she wasn't going to run either.... Enter the Jindal/Palin combo..... I don't think the GOP wants the White House either, much in the same fashion as they didn't want it during this administration.... So if that is the case, of course they are going to put both those clowns up for prominent display either through direct, or indirect means.... And in both instances it still depends on media coverage... And we see what the game is right now.... Question is, who will the dimocrats put up for election? and out of ignorance and disillusionment over the 'failed' Obama administration and policies will America elect Jindal/Palin if that is the miserable offerings that are put on our plate to consider? I heard some goofy whisperer say that 'death is only the beginning', so is that what 2012 really has in store for us? As we traips down the trail of self destruction?

I found this article to be funny but if you want Palin that is fine with me. I would guess now that you were one of the ones telling us how great Jindal was going to be and we can see what a true conservative he turned out be. LOL

I knew yesterday's column, which showed a modicum of sanity, was too good to be true. We liberals don't have to get more vicious...the Republicans (other than the hard right extremists such as yourself) are doing it for us.

Palin is hardly what could be considered as ‘articulate’ you betcha – wink-wink……………… She has 0 potential of ‘winning’ the ‘White’ House, and she is just simply another one of those sideline distractions that is being hyped by the ‘media’ so that Americans WILL take their concentration off the real issues at hand…. Sort of like those wonderful 9-0 Saints… WAKE UP FOLKS, YOU ARE GETTING DROWNED SLOWLY BUT SURELY DAY BY DAY BY BUNGALING, INEPT, CROOKED, SELFISH, SELF-SERVING POLITICIANS AND BUREAUCRATS…….
