While new British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has declared his country “the British people will stand together, united, resolute and strong” and while security is “critical” for future threats to the nation, anti-terrorist police have found a link between the London car bomb and the Glasgow Airport threat, both which could have killed hundreds.
Meantime, more suspects have been arrested for the Glasgow Airport and London Bomb threats.
Strathclyde Police Chief Constable Willie Rae told a press conference, "There are very similar features to both incidents, and through that we have linked the two".
On Saturday, two men tried to slam their burning Jeep Cherokee into the main terminal building of Scotland's Glasgow Airport and on Friday, two Mercedes were found near the nightclub district in London.
One of the men arrested suffered significant burns in the jeep attack. Police also claim that they found a "suspect device" on the injured man who is being treated for his burns.
Willie Rae, also told reporters that " we can confirm that this is being treated as a terrorist incident."
