It’s Presidential election day in France and the big race is between socialist Segolene Royal and conservative Nicolas Sarkozy..
While news reports are claiming high voting, so far, there are an estimated 44 million voters.Royal and Sarkozy are fighting to replace Jacques Chirac who has been President for 12 years.
Many believe that that Sarkozy is expected to be the winner although so far, there has not been any declarations.
Many of the issues in France also plague much of Western Europe such as a relatively poor economy, high unemployment and an increasingly more militant Muslim community.
