President Hugo Chavez showed his socialist stripes in a TV broadcast Sunday, and told U.S. officials to "Go to hell!". He has complained about US interfering in Venezuela's affairs.
Chavez said "Go to hell, gringos! Go home!"
The Venezuela National Assembly, is anticipated to approval "enabling law," which would grant Chavez authority to pass a series of laws by decree during an 18-month period.
Chavez plans to raise domestic gasoline prices and approve taxes on luxury items.
Chavez has recently openly reached out to the President of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and has become very close to Cuba.
Rev. Pat Robertson raised a stink over a year ago suggesting that Chavez should be assassinated.
The comments by Chavez are the most blatant anti-American and is clear evidence of his disdain for the US and the Bush administration.
