Praise, Curses for Dardenne support of Edwards against Vitter in Louisiana governor race
Written by

dardenneRepublican Jay Dardenne has announced his endorsement for Democrat Jon Bel Edwards for Louisiana Governor and the bouquets are being thrown, as well as the arrows.

Today, Dardenne, Lt. Governor of the state, stood with his wife and his former gubernatorial opponent, Edwards and his wife, and announced his support of Edwards in his runoff against US Senator David Vitter.

Vitter is also a republican.

The comments on twitter are well-expected.  For those who like Dardenne’s decision, he is being praised while those who are opposed to the endorsement, claim he is abandoning the republican party.

Of course, there are also claims that the Lt. Governor has received something of value for his support for the Democrat.
