Louisiana House Rejects Horizontal Congressional Districts In Redistricting

The Louisiana House of Representatives declined an amendment today to create horizontal congressional districts in both North and Central Louisiana.  The vote was 52-41.

Curently, legislation filed by Louisiana State representative Jerome Richard (I)--Thibodaux is being considered.

Update: Richard legislation has been tabled and the Comer bill is now being considered--4:12
