Louisiana Speaker Tucker Talks Redistricting, Budget, SUNO-UNO Merger
 

The spotlight is on soft-spoken and popular Louisiana House Speaker Jim Tucker to help the state get through what might be the most difficult legislative sessions in decades.  The session begins next week.  
 

On the legislator’s plate are matters such as going through another very tough legislative session right after a bitter one on redistricting, handling a very deep budget of 1.6 billion dollars shortfall and dealing with very emotional and racially-sensitive questions that abound over the merging of UNO and SUNO in New Orleans.  

Tucker discussed these issues with Bayoubuzz’s publisher, Stephen Sabludowsky, after he spoke to the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday.
