New Orleans Reggie Bush Faces Backlash For NFL Lockout Comments
Written by

Reggie Bush is facing the NFL lockout with a smile and a tweet.

According to PFT.com, Bush posted messages on his  Facebook and Twitter accounts on Monday saying that he's thankful for the time off  the lockout has given him, as opposed to having to endure the hard work of organized team activities and mini camps.

"Everybody complaining about the lockout! Shoot I'm making the most of it, Bush told PFT.com. "Vacation, rest, relaxing, appearances here and there. I'm good," wrote Bush. "Right about now we would be slaving in 100 degree heat, practicing twice a day, while putting our bodies at risk for nothing."

The Who Dat! would like to see Bush play a full season and avoid injuries. He hasn't produced at times when the team needed him.

Various news accounts have reported that “After that, hundreds of fans lit into Bush, sending him Facebook and Twitter messages telling him he should suck it up and work hard because he's a professional athlete and making millions of dollars --  especially considering that, after the Saints drafted Mark Ingram. Bush himself acknowledged that he's going to be looking for a new team as soon as the lockout ends. Wow! “

Bush responded "FYI my last tweet was a joke," said Bush. "Relax fans damn it, it's called sense of humor. Cry me a river won't you?"

Many of Bush's 1.4 million Facebook fans and 1.6 million Twitter followers have a different sense of humor than he does.

Chances are good that Reggie will take a large cut in his contract to stay here even though he owns a $5 million "party" house in Los Angeles.

Thought for the day: When the smog lifts in Los Angeles, you cans see UCLA. (Reggie went to USC).

Joke of the day is the bumper sticker of the day: “Where The Hell Is Easy Street?"

wag edwards tweetIn the age of rapid response, social media, President and CEO of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry took to twitter to apparently poke the Democrat Governor and to promote his own tour of his own legislative package, or legislative outlook tour, beginning today.

Today, Stephen Waguespack of LABI tweeted in response to The Advocate’s Tyler Bridges article that John Bel Edwards would be delaying his release of his tax overhaul package that was scheduled for today.

quin hillyer health 5Have the conservative Freedom Caucus and advocacy organizations such as Freedom Works and Heritage Action "screwed the American people"?

That's the feeling expressed by at least one long-time conservative Republican, who, as millions of others were outraged by the destruction of the Obamacare "repeal" and replacement, on Friday.

comey sitThe GOP will likely claim that the bogus “ Assisted suicide counseling” will still be covered since Obamacare remains the law of the land. That’s good news for GOP legislators who planned on voting “yes” on its repeal. The rich, also, should be happy the old law remains because they have wounds that need tending after the mega tax breaks for them that were inserted in Trumpcare went the way of leeching. The failure to repeal, of course, is the Democrats fault. Trump said so, but he has reason to be happy, too. The health care debacle managed, if just for an hour, or two, to deflect attention away from Russia.
