NBC Pledges Allegiance To An Ungodly Radical Agenda

Jeff CrouereThis past weekend millions of Americans celebrated Father’s Day by watching the U.S. Open golf championship. It was an amazing display of superb golf by young champion Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland. Unfortunately, the broadcast was marred by another disgusting display of political correctness.

The tournament was broadcast by NBC, which produced a promotional piece emphasizing the patriotism of having the event at a country club near our nation’s capital. Part of the piece included school children reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. Incredibly, the words “under God” were edited out of the piece not once, but twice.

This was not some random mistake, but a clear signal from NBC that the words “under God” were somehow controversial or inappropriate. Tragically, a radical agnostic or secular humanist belief permeates our television networks and our film studios. By following the demands of political correctness, the network insulted the vast majority of Americans who believe in God and understand that only Divine intervention has allowed this nation to prosper.

NBC is a left wing network that produces MSNBC, a radical liberal operation that mostly excludes conservative opinion. It is also owned by General Electric, which has close ties to the Obama administration. Last year, despite billions in profits, the company did not pay any federal income tax, exposing for all Americans the political favoritism of our tax code.

Back in 1954, the words “under God” were added to the Pledge of Allegiance. For 57 years, millions of school children and patriotic Americans have recited the phrase as the most important part of the Pledge of Allegiance. America is a country dominated by patriotic God fearing people who clearly understand the importance of the Almighty to the success of this nation.

Without God’s blessing and protection, this country would not have been founded or been able to survive for 235 years. The vast majority of our Founding Fathers undoubtedly believed in God, so they prominently included in the Declaration of Independence that Americans are “endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

Our problems are caused not by the intrusion of too much religion in our public institutions. Instead, our problems are caused when an ungrateful nation turns its back on God. For example, just look at what has happened to our public schools in the decades since prayer was removed.

While NBC apologized on air for eliminating God from the Pledge of Allegiance, they did not refer to the specifics of the error. The network did not admit to viewers that the “under God” phrase was purposely removed from the Pledge of Allegiance. According to Tim Wildmon of the American Family Association, the network tried to “conceal its insult to American heritage by inserting voice-overs after the words that preceded ‘under God.’”

This unpatriotic maneuver was done in the arrogant hope that the viewers would not notice. Fortunately, Americans noticed that a left wing network did a hatchet job on our Pledge of Allegiance.

The apology was unsatisfactory and the insane edit to our Pledge of Allegiance will not be soon forgotten. The network’s agenda has now been exposed to viewers who need to understand the warped mentality of so many executives who manage our television networks.
