Louisiana Governor Edwards bellys up with gun control, Jindal, prison talk, quips

edwards-trinaClassic Edwards as the non-drinking charismatic former Louisiana governor, decided to belly up to the WGNO TV bar and take some verbal swigs.

 

 

Edwin W. Edwards, now in his 80’s, married for his third time and seeming to enjoy every moment appeared on ABC26 to share Christmas cheer and to talk politics.

Among the issues discussed was the NRA and control, his wife Trina, the Republican red Louisiana and the South and other issues.

Showing he has not missed a lick, he took a swipe at current governor Bobby Jindal and said he has been so busy that  “Sometimes I think about going back to prison so I can get some rest.”), along with his thoughts on Louisiana politics.”

   Raymond Crews and Robbie Gatti are headed to a runoff in state House District 8 on April 29 to fill  the seat left vacant when Mike Johnson was elected  to Congress.  Both are Republicans.
    Crews came in first with 41% of the vote, followed by Gatti with 37%..  Two other candidates in the race were Duke Lowrie, who finished with 16%, and Patrick Harrington, who had 6%.
