Morgan Freeman Cries Race About Tea Party And Obama, Conservatives Cain Rebel
Written by

Freeman“Their (Tea Party) stated policy, publicly stated, is to do whatever it takes to see to it that Obama only serves one term. What’s, what does that, what underlines that? Screw the country. We’re going to whatever we do to get this black man, we can, we’re going to do whatever we can to get this black man outta here. …..It’s a racist thing.” Morgan Freeman, September 23, 2011, CNN interview with Piers Morgan.

Morgan Freeman is a fine actor, but like so many of his Hollywood friends, he is clueless about the people of America, especially the hard working members of the Tea Party who spend their hard earned dollars to see his movies.

Freeman exposed his ignorance in an interview on CNN last Friday. He has obviously never been to a Tea Party rally. These grassroots activists are not opposed to Obama because of his skin color; it is his dangerous policies they cannot tolerate.

Obama has not just pursued a typical big government agenda, but one that is laced with socialist steroids. The President has quadrupled our deficit and added over $4 trillion to our national debt. Almost every economic indicator is worse today than it was before Obama took office. While he inherited a bad economy, he made horrible decisions which prolonged the recession and magnified its impact on millions of struggling Americans.

Tea Partiers could not care less about Obama’s skin color. In fact, many in the Tea Party movement favor African American GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain, who scored an impressive victory in the recent Florida straw poll. Cain is now leading in a new Zogby poll and is surging nationwide with new donations and support flooding into his campaign.

Morgan Freeman must believe these same Tea Party activists who oppose Obama because of race are overlooking race to support Cain. It makes no sense, but is typical of the drivel that comes from overpaid and pompous Hollywood stars.

In reality, liberals like Freeman discount any Tea Party support for African American conservative candidates like Herman Cain or Cong. Allen West (R-FL). In their warped mind, these free thinkers, who challenge the orthodoxy in the African American community, do not count because they are not aboard the liberal bandwagon. Liberals love to insult Cain and other courageous African American conservatives and call them “Uncle Toms.”

Such insults are not stopping more and more African Americans in this country from rejecting liberalism and embracing the conservative philosophy. It is a long process that may be accelerated if Cain wins the Republican presidential nomination. He believes that he will be able to capture at least 33 percent of the African American vote if he is the GOP presidential nominee. We’ll see if that happens as there is a long way before we get to the Republican convention, but if Cain becomes the nominee anything is possible.

Eventually, Cain may lose in his quest to win the Republican nomination, but his success or failure will be attributable to how he articulates his vision for this country and how he manages his campaign and not his skin color.

It is time Morgan Freeman and the rest of the Hollywood elite took notice of what Cain and other African American conservatives are doing and stopped throwing around the race card every time Obama is criticized. The President has principled political opponents who are not racists.

For a conservative today, it is difficult to enjoy a movie knowing that so many Hollywood stars are clueless and bigoted liberals. Along with Freeman, many other highly paid actors have demonized conservatives who oppose Obama. Stars such as Sean Penn, George Clooney, and Matt Damon regularly spew hatred toward Tea Party conservatives.

All of these disparaging remarks may motivate millions of conservatives to boycott Hollywood films, and hit these ignorant stars hard in the wallet. It makes no sense for Tea Partiers to support the extravagant lifestyles of movie stars who hurl insults such as racism at the conservative movement.

With movie ticket prices escalating during the horrible Obama economy and more Hollywood stars exposing their hatred and irrational liberalism, more Americans should spend their ever shrinking entertainment dollars on other activities.

It is time conservatives supported entertainers who appreciate them more and insult them less.

catRarely, have I seen few issues that have generated as much raw heat, tension, and passion than the confederate monuments controversy.

Just as existed during the real civil war, where brothers battled brothers, social media is the battleground, particularly Facebook, pitting friend against friend.

On one side of the tense divide, there are those who are protecting the New Orleans civil war era monuments.  Burnt in effigy, forever, is the symbol of Mayor Mitch Landrieu for up-ending what the monument protectors consider to be the loving civil society of New Orleans.

Lately, events have turned somewhat militaristic.

Some protectors of the confederate monuments have been staying vigilant, in person and online, even surveilling during the wee hours of the morning, waiting for the next Mayor Landrieu attack. On Sunday morning, with protections of snipers, masked workers and a dumbstruck audience, the worst of all of the monuments was cut and carried., the Liberty Monument.
