New Orleans Saints: NFL playoffs, Giants coming and Thanksgiving tweets
Written by

giants3The NFL is out with a list of playoff scenarios. At this point, there are eight teams going for six playoff spots and two of them -- Green Bay (10-0) and San Francisco (9-1), both of whom can clinch in Week 12 with a win and some help -- are all but assured of winning division titles. One NFC team, perhaps two, could make the playoffs with records of 9-7.

With the byes in the rear-view mirrors, and through the front windshield is a six-game season that will separate the contenders from the pretenders, and who is going to step forward and what teams will begin to fold. The Saints remaining opponents: vs. Giants (6-4), vs. Lions (7-3), at Titans (5-5), at Vikings (2-8); vs. Falcons (6-4), vs. Panthers (2-8). The Saints came out of their bye week with three pretty tough games. But with a 3-1 division mark and a game ahead of the Falcons, their prospects for another NFC South title are looking strong....

Didyaknow? New Orleans leads the NFL in offense with an average of 436.9 yards, which has them on pace for 6,990 yards. That would not only eclipse the previous franchise high of 6,571 in 2008, but also would be second in NFL history, behind only the 2000 St. Louis Rams (7,075).
