Louisiana US Sen. Landrieu Endorses Richmond For New Orleans, Jeff Race

(NEW ORLEANS, LA.) Democrat Cedric Richmond has picked up a key endorsement on Friday in the race for the 2nd Congressional District of Louisiana.

United State Senator Mary Landrieu has endorsed State Representative Cedric Richmond for that race.  Among Richmond’s opponents are incumbent Republican Congressman Joseph Cao, and fellow Democrat, Louisiana Rep. Juan LaFonta.

In her endorsement statement, Landrieu said   “I strongly support Cedric’s candidacy for Congress, he understands the needs of Louisiana, and he is committed to serving the people of the Second Congressional District.”
