New Orleans Saints Sign Ladell Betts Due To Reggie Bush's Injury

staton1The Saints have re-signed veteran free agent running back Ladell Betts to help reinforce a running back corps depleted by the loss Reggie Bush.

Betts,who has spent the eight seasons with the Redskins, worked out for the Saints earlier this week. He rushed for for a career-best 1,154 yards in 2006 and was briefly with the Saints during training camp

Bush, who suffered a broken fibula during Monday night's victory over the 49ers,is expected to miss at least six weeks. Bush was injured as he recovered a muffed punt  after he dove for the ball and players piled on him.
