"I’d like to thank the Chargers organization for giving up on Drew Brees and Darren Sproles!" - Every New Orleans Saints fan in America

While it is impossible to say how well the Saints would be able to do without former San Diego Chargers Brees or without Darren Sproles who showed his immense speed and versatility this year, logic would tell us the obvious—“don’t even go there”.
For starts, Brees completed 2011 regular season with the NFL single-season records of 5,476 passing yards, 468 completions and 71.2% completion percentage.

With Brees at the helm, the Saints now hold the NFL record for yards gained in a season with 7,474.

Due to Brees, the Saints now hold the record for the best completion record for passes-- 71.3% of their passes (472 of 662)

Brees has 13 300-yard passing game for the season and ended the season seven consecutive 300-yard games.

As far as Sproles, whom the Saints acquired this year, the former San Diego running back had a season total 2,696 all-purpose yards, an NFL single-season record.

Because of Sproles and a powerful running team, Brees was able to mix up his play selection and maintain the throttle on the offensive explosion.

so, thanks San Diego
