Well, this is going to be another week that I am looking forward to. Among the many events that I will be involved and attending will be on Tuesday - my "Toasting with Margarita" at Le Booze of the Royal Sonesta Hotel. My darling friend Vincent Pigna of Glazers willl be introducing, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., recipes using vodka infused with Godiva Chocolates. Yummy! Immediately after, I will be reading my monologue by popular demand at "Meanwhile at Cafe DuMonde" at Ralph and Kacoos (read my calendar for details).
On Wednesday, I am looking forward to attending the JPAS Symphony Orchestra performance with Maestro Dennis G. Assaf conducting Puccini's most beloved opera, La Boheme, at Tulane's Dixon Hall. Not to be missed!
On Friday, October 29, I am looking forward to attending JPAS's elegant "Pasta and Puccini" black tie fundraiser at Hotel Intercontinental. On Saturday, Casa Argentina will celebrate at 8 p.m., the 200th anniversary of the Revolution that paved the way to the independence of Argentina with a Tango Show at the Lupin Theatre in the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts (NOCCA).
On Sunday, I am going to be one of the "Stars" of PARKWAY PARTNERS' FEAST WITH THE STARS, the annual gala brunch that features food and drinks from local restaurants hosted by local personalities from 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at Gallier Hall. That evening I am looking forward to donning my Halloween outfit to attend the Saints game at the Superdome. I hope this time they will win!
Of course this will be my schedule for this week but as you know, my beloved city will be hosting Tony Bennett at the Mahalia Jackson Theatre, the Voodoo Music Festival, the Krewe of Halloween Parade and the Memnoch-Resurrection Ball.
