Vitter e-blasts gubernatorial plan for Louisiana healthcare

vitter-memoBy email blast today, Republican US Senator and candidate for Louisiana governor, David Vitter has released his healthcare plan for the state.

In doing so, Vitter said in his email, in relevant parts:


“93,000 Louisianians have lost coverage that they liked and wanted to keep. Struggling middle class families have seen premiums and other costs skyrocket. And 866,000 of our citizens are still uninsured. Obamacare has obviously not worked. We need solid Louisiana solutions, not mandates from the federal government.

Read Chapter 6 of the Vitter plan, called “Improving our Public-Private Hospital Partnerships, Reforming Medicaid”

vitter-health According to the plan, Vitter will call a special session on spending and tax reform, require full transparency in Bayou Health system and improve data collection.
