Lying Brian Williams, at home, with MSNBC
Written by

After an extensive investigation, NBC News finally decided what to do with habitual liar Brian Williams, who has been on an extended suspension since February. In the end, they made the perfect choice by removing him from the anchor chair at the “Nightly News” and demoting him to MSNBC, their embarrassment of a cable news network. Williams will join other habitual liars, such as the Reverend Al Sharpton, on MSNBC, a ratings disaster.

MSNBC is perpetually in the ratings basement, averaging just 10% of the viewing audience who used to watch Williams on the NBC “Nightly News.” This journalistic wasteland is an ideal home for Williams, who tarnished any of his reporting credentials when he started lying about the major events he covered.

While Williams will lose his lofty NBC position and face a reduction of salary from $15 million to $10 million per year, it is still amazing that he has a job and will be making so much money. On MSNBC, Williams will handle special reports and anchor breaking news coverage. It helps that Williams is a liberal and NBC is an extremely liberal network. If Williams had been a conservative, there is little doubt that he would have been fired.

In an interview with Matt Lauer on the “Today” show, Williams finally spoke some truth as he said his lies were “ego driven.”  He admitted that his suspension has been “torture.” Unfortunately, he refused to elaborate on all of the different falsehoods he told. Clearly, Williams lied about his helicopter coming under rocket propelled grenade attack while covering the Iraq war. However, he also surely lied in a number of other cases, such as his report of seeing a dead body float by his hotel window in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. A real analysis of his many exaggerations and lies would cover multiple incidents over the span of many years.

Obviously, this habitual liar has zero credibility with viewers, which is why the move to MSNBC makes sense. No viewer who watches hosts such as Ed Schultz, Rachel Maddow or Chris Matthews expects honest journalism. All viewers see on MSNBC is hard core liberal activism disguised as journalism.

Through his years of lies, Williams showed a callous disregard for the viewers who entrusted him to truthfully report the news. As an anchor with a propensity to lie and exaggerate, Williams has now found a perfect home at MSNBC.

One good thing resulting from this episode is that viewers looking for a good laugh now have an alternative to Comedy Central. They can watch the laughable liberals on MSNBC, the new home of lying Brian Williams, a man who chose lies over the facts, popularity over credibility and, despite a suspension and nationwide humiliation, has still not admitted the truth.

mass2On July 4, 1778, George Washington doubled liquor rations for the soldiers quartered in Princeton, NJ, as a way to celebrate Independence Day. It’s fitting, therefore, that the Fourth of July is America's top-selling beer holiday, according to the Beer Institute. It estimated, in 2013, that sales of beer on the 4th could total $1 billion, doubtlessly higher today. “In moderation,” claims a CA brewery investor, Grover McKean, “beer is tasty and healthy.” Who could disagree?

joe mikaAs Donald Trump faces the top world leaders this week, including a face-time with Vladimir Putin, and as his healthcare proposals face an uphill climb, his poll numbers for how the nation views him could be better.

According to a morning Consult/Politico poll released Wednesday morning, his tweets, including that against MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski, and his personality are not helping him, at all.

indy dayII know the calendar says we are approaching the 4th of July, but, it just doesn’t feel like Independence Day.

Perhaps it should.  It’s hot as heck.  The airlines have been packed. The hot dogs are ready for grilling.  The umps are saying, "play ball". The patriotic activities are scheduled. The fireworks are ready-for-blasting.

Yet, it just doesn’t feel like independence day.

bill rights2To President Thomas Jefferson, July 4th celebrated more than the signing of the Declaration of Independence. He thought it was a link to the future. The message prominent colonists sent to King George III led to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, the initial and most prominent feature of which is the First Amendment that guarantees free speech. It’s part of the country’s fundamental essence that each man and woman can say what they feel about government, or anything else, proving President Donald Trump needs some civics lessons.
